Grecotel Luxme Daphnila Bay Dassia

Lovely Holiday to Grecotel Daphnila Bay. We loved our week. We had room 408. A lovely bungalow in a quiet location. Very spacious room with seperate sleeping area for children. The rooms are good by greek standards with efficient (and quiet) aircon and powerful hot showers. Bed was the biggest we have ever had with a good mattress. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and rooms cleaned daily. The food was outstanding from the buffet restaurants to the a la carte choices. We booked via the app before arriving and had no problem getting the bookings we wanted. We also added in extra bookings with reception once we had arrived. The greek restaurant on the beach was our favourite. Takeaway from the lunchtime beach buffet was a good option for those that did not want to leave their lounger. The beach was lovely. It's a little cove bordered by trees. Lots of shade available and sunbeds were always available. Free towels from either the pool or beach. The tennis courts were good and always available with free racket and ball hire at reception. We took the hotel's water taxi to Corfu town. 25 euros return trip. A great way to see the corfu coast and a special way to arrive into Corfu town. The staff really made this holiday though. From the baristta at breakfast, the cleaners, the lovely lady cooking omelettes, the beah bar staff but particularly Pepe, the driver who ferried people up and down all day to the beach. Many have commented on the steep slope (which it is) but we never waited for more than 5 minutes for Pepe to run us up/down the hill. We will be back. Thank you Team Daphnila Bay.

Overall a really nice, lovely hotel. Staff are so accommodating and friendly & views are from the hotel of the beach/surrounding hills are stunning. Good for most types of holidays however although there is no child's pool/area, a lot of young families so probably best to go adults only if that's your preference. Postive points: - Pool beds are so comfortable and rarely missed out getting them (even at 8.30/9am). More space down at the beach, which has lovely clear waters. - Room was standard however aircon worked well & drinks replenished every day. - Food was really nice, we have done a lot of all inclusives and this was one of the better ones in terms of freshness and selection. My partner really does make the most of it and the desserts were good. One of the hotel managers (apologies I did not see his name) helped me most evenings with showing me what was/wasn't gluten free which was amazing especially being coeliac - thank you so much! Or you can order your own meal and have the chefs prepare it for you - you do have to wait a bit longer however I didn't mind. If you have allergies you can also pre-order your meals the day before too. - Easy trip into Corfu town for a few hours (only 10 euros each for minibus) - Staff are very lovely and always happy to help, particularly at the main restaurant. Negatives/Recommendations: - More parasols at the beach if possible, the trees do provide shade but not until late afternoon so it can be tough in the heat. - The walk back up from the beach is very steep, good to get the steps in but not if you're less mobile. You can ask the beach bar to call for a buggy though. - Pool service is very slow and sparse. It's a lovely feature to have but only if done right. A lot of the time we forgot what we ordered and when we tried to grab drinks at the bar they declined and said we have to order through pool service. - Not much entertainment or music which was a shame, there was a couple of nights but ended at 9pm which was disappointing. - Nice a la carte restaurants however very tricky to book due to space. You can only book once you are checked in and by that time most spots are taken. We went to the Asian and Greek one which was nice however at both, there were some empty tables so I feel the hotel do not want to overload each restaurant... which is a big shame. Despite the above, I would recommend and was sad to be coming home.

We've just returned from a magical family holiday at the Grecotel Daphnilla Bay hotel. We had a couple of hitches at the beginning but the wonderful manager Afrodite sorted them quickly for us and we had the best time. As well as having a beautiful beach and pool area, there was so much to do - yoga on the beach at 9am and tennis with the family were 2 of my favourites. The standard of food was better than any all inclusive I've stayed at before and the 4 a la carte dining options were all different and delicious. Corfu town is a great little trip if you want a change of scene and restaurant Porta Remounda is a must for incredible authentic greek food - but you need to book! Also the boat trip to Kassiopi was great fun. Touristy yes but my teens loved it and we stopped off a few times to jump off the boat and have a bbq as well as stopping in Kassiopi for an hour. Finally water skiing from the hotel was a highlight - it's not included but it's well worth paying for it. Costas was a brilliant teacher. The only downside.......we wish we'd booked for 2 weeks!!

Family of four, including boys 10&12 yrs. A great stay. Positives - amazing and plentyful staff members at our service. - even as all inclusive, great service as if they were selling food & drinks - high quality food. Decent buffets, especially liked the easily accessible beach lunchbuffet - always available sunbeds at the private beach (pool beds are for early birds - but poolbeds are extremely nice 😂☀️) - drinks prepared and looked like €10-15 drinks at coctail bars. Even kids’ mocktails were treated with love - fine dining restaurants included at the hotel premises, from traditional greek quisine to a lobsterrestaurant - roomservice and (included/«free) refill of minibar daily - tennis/ tableten is ++ freely available, including equipment - all-day ice cream & crépeshop. Carte D’Or ice cream, so good stuff ☀️ Improvement area - footballfield could be more accessible. Too far away so never saw other players when visited except for biweekly football event from 21-22 at night

Honest factual review of Daphnila Bay: Main hotel Polished and clean entrance, friendly staff no lengthy check in wait. Epic views from the lobby, restaurants and bars. Lovely gift and clothing shop stocked with everything you need. Pool Large size, large stepping stones across it which kids run over?safety. Unheated so freezing. We only swam once on it in July. No sun loungers available by the pool by 9am. Location Daphnila bay beach is a stunning bay the hotel is built up the hill. Views are post card perfect. Beach The beach is tan coloured sand, only stoney as you enter the water then powder soft. You can see Grecotel Eva Palace from our hotel! You can get a free boat between the hotels! Food Delicious and great variety. Would be better if rice was served daily rather than just chips and pasta. Ingredients not labelled. Apparently the restaurant is excellent for catering for intolerances. Rooms Yes they do look a bit like a bunker from the outside. Inside they are spaceous. Get a sea view room or you will literally see the front wall of the other bungalows. The rooms do need updating esp the bathroom which is a bit mouldy. Sadly our room smelled of mould but disappeared when you put the aircon on.
