Green Nature Diamond Hotel

5 stars all the way. So much food it was difficult to decide what to have. Rooms are fab. Facicilities excellent. Loved the quieter adult pool. Would we go again...definitely.

We stayed at the Green Nature Diamond from 28th Oct to 10th Nov. The weather was really pleasant for the time of year. Ive been holidaying in Marmaris for over 20 years and this hotel is one of the best hotels ive stayed at.... BUT I found myself comparing this hotel to the best hotel in Marmaris.. i stayed in the previous year.(Tui blu Grand Azur) and there were some downfalls in comparison. 1/ table service and waiter service at Green Nature did not come close to Grand Azur. It was hit and miss .. I wasn't quite sure what the set up was. The dining area was very big as it is a big hotel.. but waiters just seem to be clearing plates away and not approaching guests to ask them if they wanted a drink. I had to go the bar and order my own drinks.. Only on a few occasions we were approached by a waiter and asked if we wanted a drink. I was there for 2 weeks and got asked 3 times .if we wanted a drink. All the other times I had to go the bar and order drinks and take them back to the table myself. This was a massive let down for me..especially at that time of year. The hotel.wasnt full , it was busy but not full and to witness some of the waiters just standing around, annoyed me. I also felt the waiters wanted to be tipped just for serving you a drink!¹ 2/ The general attitude of some staff wasn't welcoming or warm. Although I felt the front of house were very helpful and accommodated us when we asked to change rooms as we had paid for a partial sea view but one of our family members didnt get allocated a partial seaview. However reception staff sorted this out for us the next day and we moved rooms. Big mistake that was though as i soon realised the room we moved to was above where all the bin truck rubbish collection and bottle recycling took place. Deliveries every day the noise was ridiculous so don't stay in any rooms that face the macro centre. Its so noisy and the sun is not really on the balcony. Dor anybpartvof the day. Where as the room we were originally in, faced the adult pool and it was so quiet and chilled and the sun was on the balcony almost all day. One thing that distressed me and my family is when we witnessed a security guard grab one of the hotel cats ( he was a partially blind cat) by the scruff of his neck and took him to a staff member on reception who picked the cat up and lifted him in the air then dropped the cat on the reception desk.. the cat was clearly scared and the security guard then chased the cat across the hotel reception area... so so bad to do that in front of guests..I was fuming. We are a nation of animal.lovers.. why the security man felt that was ok.. disgusted me and other guests who witnessed it. I said at the time that I would include this in my review. I hope management read this and speak to the staff about being compassionate towards the cats that visit or stay in the hotel. That really upset me and some of the other guests who witnessed it. The hotel.is spotless and quite spectacular in size and character. The food was delicious. Plenty to eat. Indian food, pizza, salads, different cheeses, outside barbecue every night and themed nights like Turkish and Mexican. The hotel did a eally good job on Halloween. The decor was amazing and the effort they had put into the preparation right down to the evening entertainment was amazing! But be prepared , the food is repetitive.. although they did have 2 or 3 different dishes every night..like chicken and gravy, lamb, liver that kind of thing. As it got towards end of season the food choice got less and the outside barbecue wasn't available so you need to consider that if you go end of season. They have a really well equipped gym So if youre like me and love to exercise try their gym. The gym provide towels and water as well. I would advise if you prefer less noise then sunbathe at the adult pool as the main pool was always chocker and full of screaming kids. Forgot to mention.. the snack bar at the main pool was a bit messy. The waiters were not attentive and tidying around food bowls was neglected ..so if you were going there for a. snack I felt things were just not up.to scratch. In tui blu you had a waiter service in their snack bar and as soon as you sat down they would be right over to take your food and drinks order. All in all the green nature was a lovely hotel with flaws.. mainly caused by lack of table and waiter service. However there was one bartender in the main lobby bar. his name was Hazar. He was delightful , professional and a very efficient bar tender. food was repetitive and waiter service needs to improve. Although the food was delicious it needs a 7 day rolling menu like they do in grand azur. I would go back there but not if there was availability in the grand azur!.

This is a nice hotel which could be much better with just a few minor changes which I will explain later. The GND is in a good location right on the beach and only around a five minute bus ride to the harbour, Grand Bazar castle etc. Nearby, there are a number of shops including a supermarket right across the road. Hotel is clean, very big with lots of nice areas including a large pool with plenty of loungers. Food is generally good with plenty of choice. Two outside BBQ areas were excellent. Now for the not so good which as I mentioned are minor. Room. OK except there's not enough light, wife found it hard to see when getting ready. Not enough hangers, some were even broken and should be replaced (room 2107) shower door can only be opened partially as it strikes the towel holder behind, and doesn't close fully, no way to fill the sink with water. The entertainment team only approached those nearest to the pool, and didn't bother with those like us further at the back. I've always taken part in activities in all other hotels, but not once here. Service was hit and miss The real disappointment was the reception. When checking out as I handed the back the room keys all I got from the receptionist were the words " That's it" said with a sullen face, nothing like "how was your holiday, was everything OK" etc. Which is the first time I have experienced this in this class of hotel, in fact during our entire stay, not once did anyone ask us anything, didn't see any management at all. When I mentioned these things, and the few minor things in the room, all I got was "you should have told us and we could have fixed it". No real understanding, apology or desire to rectify the situation. In conclusion. it's a good hotel, a 7 out of 10 for almost everything, nothing bad, nothing great.

Stayed here for 2 weeks all inclusive with jet2. The location is excellent being on the beach front and near all the major sites. Staff were friendly, house keeping excellent, food plentiful and high quality, and everywhere appeared clean and well maintained. Unfortunately we experienced a number of issues. In our room on 4th floor wifi was terrible, constantly dropping connection throughout day. Halfway through stay the hotel announced closure of several bars and other facilities, apparently in preperation for end of season. This was understandable however neither jet2 or hotel had warned prior to flying out that this might happen. As it turned out, it was a quite signifant incovenience. Finally, and most disappointing, there was a contingent of cats which were a constant presence in the main food eating areas. Despite the fact that there were notices around the hotel warning residents not to feed or otherwise encourage these animals, little was actually done by hotel staff to enforce this. At one dinner sitting, we counted no less than 13 cats within just a few yards of our table. Incredibly, one was sat on a table with the diner brazenly feeding it morsels from her plate, with staff simply looking on ans smiling. I dont need to spell out quite how unhygienic this was. It is to be hoped that hotel management will address this issue urgently, however the general attitude to cats in the dining area that we observed does not fill us with confidence.

Fantastic hotel!!!❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍 we loved everything here! The staff is friendly, delicious food! The rooms are clean. Nice and quiet around the pool, because we came at the end of the season! The entertainment team is great we enjoyed playing the games around the pool 😉
