I would describe this hotel with a vanilla 'its ok'. The location is great, beautiful views from balcony but the rooms are small and definitely dated. The food is average at best. Must admit we skip the buffet some nights, as it can be a bit much every night. The check in took ages, they really need to look at that. Would I come back, no.

Pros: -Our room was okay, we had a good sea view. The mini fridge was an appreciated bonus. -Entertainment team were the highlight of the hotel, particularly Raul who went above and beyond and made us feel very included. We were very glad to witness his Freddie Mercury aqua gym. - One pool was heated which was much more pleasant than the cold one - We arrived at midnight and they had set aside some food for us which was a nice gesture. Cons: - Food was not great, some of the dinners we couldn’t find anything we liked/ that looked edible, and the cooked breakfast left a lot to be desired. - The hotel was under construction (we were not pre-warned of this) which lead to drilling noises, disturbing the relaxing atmosphere. - No free water at meal times - Not allowed a ball in the pool

We stayed here for 4 weeks before Christmas and enjoyed our time. All the reviews here comment favourably on the hotel staff, the cleanliness, the location and also the pool area. The quality and temperature of the food receive less favourable comments. We are not "pool people" and prefer to spend our time on level 10 which is a haven of tranquility where we can read and enjoy the archives of the BBC Sounds app. In December, the area was very busy with guests enjoying the winter sun. We were therefore, very surprised when we came for three weeks in June to find that three quarters of the solarium had been fenced off and reserved for "Privilege " guests. To make matters worse, during the 20 days we were there, the Privilege area was hardly used. Most days 1 or 2 or no guests, and on one occasion 4 guests, two of which tried the pool. We were all-inclusive and enjoyed the international brand spirits but we were very disappointed with the poor qualty wines served in the restaurant. On the second floor there is a mini library which we used, although the shelf space is inadequate for the number of books. On the day we left, the Reception had been returned to the first floor, but considering the tremendous renovations we had not been particularly inconvenienced.
