Have stayed at many H10 hotels over the past 4 years. Booked directly with H10 in January for a stay beginning 15th May. Only happened to find out about renovations due to me carrying out a dummy booking on the website of a Tour Operator (to compare last minute prices) where there was a clear warning prior to booking. The only thing I found on the H10 website was on the "hotel website" which is basically just a big marketing page. It said in small writing under a title describing one of the pools that there are renovation works in May and June. I can't even find this now! It certainly says NOTHING during the booking process. And I did not receive an email at any point between January and May to inform me of the works. Great way to treat member customers. Now - regarding the hotel - it's a decent product. Certainly wouldn't pay the same price again for it. And that was just 1.4k€ for the week all inclusive. Request for quiet upstairs room was given. Room was in desperate need of renovations. After waking up the next morning had to go downstairs with the following complaints: -Air Conditioning not working at all -Shower drain not working -Shower temperature either freezing or hot, adjusts by itself and is low pressure. -A power socket damaged (basically required replacing as a lot of the plastic would just come off when unplugging devices. Only the air conditioning and shower drain were actually resolved. Shower was absolutely awful even after a second attempt at complaining, and the socket broke again even moreso before checkout. Staff are absolutely fantastic. As we didn't actually arrive until the early hours of the morning, I asked if we could have dinner on our day of departure as we did not use the all inclusive at all on the first day we paid for. This was eventually approved but the hotel staff aren't allowed to use their initiative and do this themselves - it requires a manager to allow it (I dont know why because there is always a full buffets worth of surplus food at the end of the service). Same as every H10 hotel I've been to- staff will always say hello to you and help as best as they can. English proficiency levels are great which is something I find very convenient. The food here was indeed interesting. Rice is almost always undercooked and hard. This should be identified by a staff taste test, no? Regularly cheap cuts of fish and meat. Sometimes I chose a cut of fish and I'd be lucky to get a single mouthful of edible food from it. Otherwise, taste was good and only once or twice I wasn't the best pleased with the variety (such as Mexican night). Otherwise it was good. I don't think I will return to this hotel to see whether it has improved. I doubt the plumbing facilities will ever be improved - so many people had zero hot water throughout their whole stay, and someone had sewage come up from the drain and flood their room. These problems suggest that there's needs to be a full replacement. And due to the deception and lack of honesty regarding the renovations, I have lost all trust in H10 hotels and will carefully consider whether I will ever book any again.
