I am writing to express our deep disappointment with our recent stay at your hotel, which unfortunately did not meet the standards expected of a five-star establishment. While the hotel grounds, pools, and beachfront are undeniably beautiful, the overall experience left us feeling misled and frustrated. We booked a swim-up room, but upon arrival, the room was dirty and appeared to have been hastily prepared. On top of this, we were met with the stench of marijuana for the duration of the evening. We requested a room change, and while we appreciated being moved to a new room, it also had unresolved maintenance issues and a dirty pool. More concerning was the treatment we received from your management team. After requesting to speak to management, a man came out and both my partner and I were spoken to in a rude and confrontational manner when we raised our concerns, escalating to the point of a heated exchange. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially given the premium prices we paid. After escalating these concerns again, we were told management would speak to us, this time a woman? at this point were unsure who the actual manager is and if our concerns are even being dealt with! The food quality was also below expectations, with onion rings on serve for breakfast and greyish looking meat for the remainder. I personally am a big foodie who will eat anything and yet I struggled big time. We also spoke to 8 separate couples regarding the food and we all had the same opinions. On our second night, having now been moved to a different side of the hotel, we noticed a strong smell of marijuana AGAIN. Management typically didn't have a care in the world so we took it upon ourselves to investigate and were shocked to discover it is sold in the hotel shop (see photos clearly stating the product contains the illegal substance of THC.) I asked reception if its acceptable for us to buy 10 'packets' of this marijuana and smoke it on the beach, seeing as its so tolerated here, the response from the manager on duty Giannis, is that 'we are entitled to do as we please!'. It is highly inappropriate for a hotel that markets itself as family-friendly to not only sell, but accommodate and prioritise drug users. Throughout our stay, we were treated dismissively, and even laughed at by staff when we raised issues. At one point, we were even told we should contact our holiday rep and leave the hotel if we were unhappy. This was not only unhelpful but deeply unprofessional. Regrettably, we are now in the process of requesting a full refund and will not be returning. Based on our experience, we STRONGLY do NOT recommend this hotel to others. Please learn from ours and many others mistakes and save your money!!!
