Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort

We had a wonderful time as a young family of four at Heritage Awali. The hotel is a jungle paradise, tastefully and thoughtfully designed and decorated. It’s in a fantastic quiet location, our room led straight out onto the soft sandy beach which was bliss. The housekeeping staff were lovely and clearly take great pride in keeping the hotel spotless. They’re also very personable, kind and our kids loved them (thank you Vimala!). The front of house staff made us feel very welcome and well looked after, especially Vicky, and are warm and always keen for a chat and to make sure everything is going well. The facilities are lovely. The kids club is fantastic, the staff knew our children’s names almost before we got there! The swimming pools are divine and the family pool is straight out onto the beach which is a stunning backdrop. The sports offering: tennis, bikes, aqua fit etc were all super accessible and the staff energetic and fun. Being able to head round to some Heritage Telfair restaurants and pools as part of our all inclusive package was a nice way to keep things interesting - C Beach was a real hit for our whole family. As a young family, we spent many of our lazy relaxing days playing at the pool which is the perfect temperature to maintain a really comfortable temperature in such glorious warm weather. Oliver - the poolside host - was a real highlight of our trip. Thoughtful, diligent and professional. Thanks Oliver! The food was excellent. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into sourcing local, fresh ingredients wherever possible. Menus in the restaurants are varied without being overbearing, and the buffet restaurant provides a wide enough selection without overproducing and creating tonnes of food waste. Our only critiques are that the restaurant service was a little inconsistent which sometimes took some of the shine off the dining experience, and this is the only reason I rate the overall service 4/5 instead of 5/5. A last-minute trip to Mauritius turned into yet another unforgettable escape. My stay at Heritage Awali was amazing, as always. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home from the very first moment. From the peaceful beachfront to the attentive service and rich cultural touches, every moment reminded me why we keep coming back. Even for a short stay, Heritage Awali makes paradise feel like home. The very best part of our stay was knowing our little girl was happy, loved and entertained at Timomo Kids Club. The team are so passionate about the little ones and they spend hours ensuring the children's holiday memories are also special. Every day there were new and exciting activities, and lots of fun art works to remember their holiday. If it weren't for these special ladies, we wouldn't have had much of a holiday!

We stayed here on the all inclusive package for 2 weeks. We had an incredible experience. The restaurants included are great - we really enjoyed infinity blue for lunch and evening meals. The breakfast buffet is excellent & the Monday evening buffets of Mauritian cuisine is very tasty. Zafarani is also really tasty Indian cuisine for evening meals. We often had lunch at le chateau golf clubhouse too which was excellent with lots of choices. The service at the hotel is top notch, including drinks around the pool and beach - particular shout out to Olivier for always looking after us!! We played golf everyday at le chateau. It’s an excellent course and the service of everyone in the golf club was fantastic. Big thanks especially to Oodikesh for great service here. It was easy to book tee times simply the day before, often we’d book the 7am tee time when the course is quiet and finish in time to enjoy lunch and drinks in the club house, included on our package. Staying here also allows you access to the fantastic La Reserve links golf course which was great. The staff on reception are also so helpful, especially in booking excursions out of the hotel such as Chamarel and the quad bike tour of the bel ombre nature reserve. Big thank you to Jaishiny for being so kind and knowledgeable! We are already excited to plan another trip to the beautiful Heritage Awali. 🇲🇺❤️

Excellent all round. Amazing food, super friendly staff, beautiful location. Air con could have been a little cooler but that is me being fussy.
