Hideaway is an exclusive all-suite resort for those who demand genuine luxury and expect only the best. Space and privacy is a hallmark here as there are some of the largest beachfront villas in the Maldives that provides the perfect backdrop for a glamorous retreat. The island host (butler) service, the first of its kind in the Maldives, is near legendary, ensuring that a dream getaway with exemplary service is a reality to meet and exceed guest expectations at all times. Over the years of operation, Hideaway Beach Resort and Spa has been fortunate to host many international celebrities and dignitaries in the resort due to the unique privacy that our island and villas provide. Opened in 2015 with 103 spacious beach and over water villas with their own private pool and hot tub. Tucked away in the northern part of Maldives, we are fortunate to have rich under water sea life, one of the biggest resort island and the only operational private Marina in the country. Four restaurants and bars offer a world of fine dining, including an excellent wine collection. The spa is a true wellness haven with 12 private treatment suites, steam room and hair salon set in manicured gardens. For those who love to be active, two outdoor pools, the recreation centre with its gym, two tennis courts, beach volleyball court, as well as extensive water sports, fishing, diving and a range of excursions ensures there's always something new to explore.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional from the staff to the amenities, what made our stay extraordinary was the assistance of Ishmail who assisted us 24/7 during our stay and even opened up the clinic and brought an on call doctor during closing hours. We truly felt at home and we will definitely be visiting again.

Overall, this was an amazing experience. The staff was very professional and very friendly, while the facility and the rooms were extremely clean and comforting. I have nothing but great things to say and would recommend coming here for a honeymoon. Only thing I will say is make sure you bring sun block. We underestimated this and ended up with a horrible sunburn.

We came to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Hideaway did not disappoint. We stayed in a water villa where we had plenty of privacy with all the necessary comforts and everything was clean and well kept…they offered housekeeping twice daily. Service was impeccable! All of the island staff were incredibly nice, wherever we went. The manager at Matheefaru, Safar, had a way of making you feel like he is giving you special treatment, even though you know he treats each guest with the same care and respect. The nightly themes for dinner buffet are a great way to keep you from experiencing food boredom. Our butler, Suci, contributed greatly in helping to make our stay adventurous as well as relaxing and stress free. With plenty of excursions to choose from and unlimited snorkeling at the house reef we saw a wide variety of sea life including rays, turtles and sharks. I could go on and on about this unforgettable experience! We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back again.

Opened in 2005, and widely updated in a US$50m renovation in 2014, Hideaway has 103 extremely spacious villas, all (except seven Sunset Beach Villas) with their own private pool or Jacuzzi. The 57 contemporary style over-water villas stand on stilts over the lagoon while the 46 beachfront villas have a timeless, classic Maldives feel, each with its own private beach and hidden away among lush tropical gardens for complete privacy.
