Hideaway Villas is created as a serene escape in the cliffs of Bali's rustic Bukit peninsula. Hideaway - best before date a long time ago

Nice idea - “back in the day” when the place was new and the traffic in Uluwatu was quiet. It’s a tired looking great idea, needs a complete refurbishment in my opinion, I’ve attached some photos but the bottom line is everything looks good through a professional lens but not in reality. To add to that it’s set away down a long winding road that takes 10-15 to walk just to get to the main road which at times is like the centre of a scooter and auto civil war. Conveniently the hotel provides a shuttle to the main road which is helpful but then it’s up to you to battle with Grab or Gojek taxis which (at rush hours) is a nightmare. My advice would be to seek somewhere closer to town unless you are a very proficient moped driver. Apologies this review isnt more positive but I think I have been fair. And just for the hotel, for some reason in our rooms the toilet/shower had a step just inside the door to the left, I misjudged this one night and was probably quite close to an ankle sprain or worse. Pictures attached.
