The kids spent a lot of time with Oktar from the entertainment team who was absolutely brilliant. Made their holiday this time even more special playing football and other activities. As a family as also enjoyed his morning bike tour. My dad was unwell whilst we were out this time and guest relations were also fantastic helping us and communicating with the hospital. Our 4th stay at the Hilton Dalaman and as always, a superb family holiday yet again. Even despite the weather being more unpredictable than British weather, we've still had a fantastic stay. Thanks to the whole Hilton Dalaman team for making this trip as special as our last 3 visits ! Updates from my previous reviews: They've recently introduced a youngsters club. Which is perfect for the Carpi Club Alumni, ages 10 to 15. (Read my previous reviews to find out more about the kids activities for younger kids.) It's fully kitted out with pool, table tennis, air hockey, table football, board games and PS5s. It literally ticks all the boxes for teen fun already, and added organised activities finish the perfect offer for kids going on teens. Wonderful to see my boys getting to know kids from around the world and making the most of their holiday. A couple of reviews I've read said the hotel looks dated. Personally, I am struggling to see this. The decor of this hotel, which combines Turkish themes with neutral tones, is timeless in my view. It looks as amazing and impressive as it did when we came years ago. I always have a spa treatment when I come here. Tennur provided an excellent massage for me on this occasion. I really do recommend booking something for yourself. It's a wonderful treat ! Whilst the main restaurant gets very busy, service is always with a smile. They'll find you a place to sit, which is a struggle as a family of 5. Shout out to Husseiyn and Murat who have been helpful from the first day. Food is diverse and delicious. It's a case of what not to eat rather what to eat, because the choice is so varied. As well as the usual chicken nuggets, chips and pizza, there's cuisine from around the world. Top tip to avoid food wastage - take a walk around first to decide what's going on your plate. Other places to eat - Macaron Patisserie just up from the main exit to the pool areas serves lovely cookies, croissants and cakes. There's a hut by the beach which does Turkish stuffed parathas, you can choose your fillings and they are this thin crispy deliciousness. There's the Vento café towards the beach area for burgers, salads and pasta. An alternative to the main restaurant for lunch. Their churros are a must ! Thanks to Aziz for an excellent service every time, despite the windy conditions. And there's a beach seating area where Bayram makes sure that everyone is served with a smile. Bear in mind a la carte restaurants here cost 35€ pp and no, there's no one free one per stay. We didn't go on this occasion. They have paddle courts being built currently, for those in love with the game. We brought our tennis racquets and some balls - best decision since it gave the boys the freedom to play when they wanted to. Bike ride at 9.30am takes you around the hotel grounds. They play football daily around 4.30pm, and trainers are fine for that. Lots of other activities throughout the day including Pilates, archery, yoga etc. You really can't get bored, unless it's raining all day long. Indoor pool is heated to 28 degrees. This seems to be an international standard from what I've noticed. It is swimmable and you can warm up in the steam and sauna afterwards. You can buy floats and swimming toys from the shop in the hotel. Accessibility around the hotel is excellent, great for wheelchairs and child buggies. Although it is very large as a resort, so worth bearing in mind. Showers in the rooms are walk-in too. And they have a hoist for the swimming pool. Because of late flight times, the hotel does let you hang about until you need to go to the airport and you can use all the facilities. On this occasion, I was told there were no courtesy rooms due to renovation. But the next day when I enquired I managed to get a room for 40 mins. Not sure what happened but this was disappointing. If you need to pray, there's a quiet room on the top floor of the main area on the opposite side to the billiards room. I do think the hotel has a way to go to improve it's sustainability, compared to others I visited. I hope they can consider this going forward. For example, refillable water stations over single use plastic bottles, smaller portion sizes for food and the option to dry and reuse towels. Hopefully we get to come again to the Hilton Dalaman in the future. And if you're considering booking the hotel, go ahead, it's highly unlikely you'll regret it. It's not just the facilities that make this a great hotel; it's each and every staff member providing service with a smile. It's wonderful to see familiar faces and be remembered, like Irena at Guest relations and Fattoush in the restaurant. Well done Hilton Dalaman team and keep up the wonderful work you all do making family holidays special for children and parents alike !

Komang at the spa! She is the best

I had a truly excellent massage experience with Komang at the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, Komang demonstrated outstanding professionalism. She took the time to understand my needs, explained the treatment clearly, and ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire session. Her calm, respectful manner immediately put me at ease. What really stood out was her attitude toward her work. It was clear that Komang takes great pride in what she does—every movement was confident, thoughtful, and highly skilled. She was attentive without being intrusive and completely focused on delivering the best possible experience. The massage itself was perfectly balanced, effective, and deeply relaxing. If you are visiting the Dalaman Hilton and considering a spa treatment, I highly recommend requesting Komang. Her professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for her clients made this one of the best massages I’ve had, and I would gladly book with her again.

Is this really a 5*?

Through Jet2 I booked a 2 bedroom family room with direct pool access and arrived at the start of the Easter break. Was informed at check-in that we had been upgraded to a corner suite which was fantastic, never had an upgrade in my life. After a lengthy walk to the room the porter showing us the way couldn’t get into the room. Issue with the keycard. Radios reception. Another wait and someone brings a replacement card. When we get into the room I’m a bit confused, there’s been no upgrade. I ask if this is the upgraded room and he says he will radio reception. I then get told there was a mistake, that’s the room I booked, so from an initial high to immediate disappointment. I then try to login to the WiFi, my credentials are wrong, they need to be reset by reception. I want to relay that the beach view does not in fact have a beach view. It shows the other side of the complex as it turns in on itself - see attached photos of the “sea view” from both rooms. We then decide to put that behind us and have a look at the direct access to the pool. Loose light fitting with the wires touching the stairs. Bear in mind this is the access to multiple rooms with wet kids going into the pool. (Photos attached). We then have a walk through the hotel towards the lobby and notice multiple buckets placed in a lot of locations. Then realise the April showers have cause a lot of leaks. The bucket placed on the roof catching water was great, does anyone know the tensil strength of glass, asking for the people walking below. Have noticed various staff with towels walking round and realised the are drying the various puddles around the lobby before some of the kids running about land on their face. Marble floors plus leaky rainwater does not mix. Speaking of towels, we had 2 in our room for a booking of 3 people. Perhaps that is being more pernickety, but you’d expect a 5 star place to be on top of something, anything. When I read the reviews of this place being dated I thought it was in reference to the 80s decor, turns out there are a lot more health and safety issues which I wish I’d read about before booking. I can’t believe Jet2 has this as a 5 star venue. We travel with them a couple of times a year and I already have the next trip booked. After just 24hrs, this is no where near a 5 star location. While I still have 6 days to go, I can’t imagine the trip improving much. It may be just I’m noticing everything now because I’m grumpy, the graffiti on the conference centre building (see attached photo) was the last thing. Can this trip get any worse? We will see…
