Barn doors on the bathrooms

This is a lovely hotel - the staff is wonderful, parking is great, and the hotel itself is immaculate. There were only two things that I wasn't crazy about: - all of the common spaces, corridors, and rooms have a pleasant, but very strong, perfumed scent that gave me a headache and clung to all my clothes. Came home and put everything straight into the washing machine. - the rooms do not have proper closing doors on the bathrooms. They have sliding barn doors which are aesthetically pleasing but are awful to actually use. A barn door has gaps around the edges so you can still hear, smell, and (at the right angle) see what's going on in the bathroom. Even if you're just traveling with your significant other, you deserve privacy in the bathroom. I would gladly give up the small floorspace that a regular door takes up in order to have an actual door.

An excellent port in a storm

Stayed here for proximity to surgery at Baptist Hospital. Needed to extend my stay due to complications. The front desk could not have been more accommodating and kind, especially Jazmyn F., who went out of her way to help me. I sincerely appreciated her compassion and flexibility and the hotel is lucky to have her. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff at the bar restaurant were also lovely. Highly recommend this hotel for medical visits to Baptist requiring overnight stays. Great room darkening drapes if you need to sleep and recover!

Great stay. Convenient to Baptist Hospital

We stayed at the Hilton Dadeland while visiting our daughter nearby. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The rooms were quiet and suitably dark for sleeping, with comfortable beds and attentive staff. If you need to be near Baptist Hospital, it’s ideal, and it’s also a great choice if you want to stay in the Kendall area just west of Dadeland. The neighborhood is quiet, and we didn’t hear any ambulances or helicopters during our stay. A couple of things could be improved. The showerhead had no pressure adjustment, and the water stream was overly hard. Also, the shower seal didn’t work well, and enough water leaked out to reach the hallway. We cleaned it up with towels, but this could be addressed. Finally, parking is $25 per day, which felt a bit excessive, though it wasn’t a dealbreaker. That said, the positives far outweighed these inconveniences. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the hospital or the Kendall area.

This is our third stay at the Dadeland Hilton. It is a lovely property. The regular rooms are large and uncluttered. The bed is firm and comfortable. The room is quiet with only a slight amount of noise from the room above. There is no road or traffic noise, even in a room facing Kendall Drive. Light does stream under the door, though a towel along the gap fixes that. The room has a pod style coffee maker and a small refrigerator. There is no in room microwave. The pool looks lovely. Parking on lots adjacent to the hotel is $25/day. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient. There is an onsite restaurant, a Starbucks and small store. The restaurant is a disappointment. It is marketed as “Farm to Table” and seems to be anything but. The AC is quiet and works well. The hotel is located on the campus of the Baptist Miami Cancer Institute. Our room was on the 5th of 7 floors.
