The island is a fantastic nature reserve (the excursion to Anse Mondon is wonderful), the resort facilities are relatively new and well maintained, but above all the difference is made by the staff: a special thanks to Simao of the sports center, to Heshan, Aji Daniel and Charles of the restaurants, to Nagesh for the cleaning of our villa: their kindness and helpfulness, together with those of their other colleagues, made our holiday excellent. For the rest, the resort should probably improve some aspects to be considered a real 5 star: the management of some details is at least strange (the bicycles not assigned to all rooms and to be returned by 6 pm), some aspects of the kitchen are not optimal (from a resort in the Seychelles you would expect fresh quality fish every day, instead the impression is that it is anything but fresh), the absence of a real All Inclusive, the "standard" bar cocktails, the absence of a snack and afternoon snack service or aperitifs and the almost complete absence of non-alcoholic cocktails. In the main pool there are old, dirty and poorly maintained deckchairs and mattresses, as well as the towels provided which are often old and torn. We noticed the almost total absence, or at least the non-visibility, of managers around the structure. Evening entertainment is almost completely absent, not even a show or event is organised (except for the "street food" buffet on Friday evening which is nothing more than a buffet dinner like all the others). Also bizarre is the habit of carrying out noisy work already at 7 in the morning (gardening with machinery, tractors passing through the village). Finally, every now and then from the "back" of the resort (where the staff's houses are located) a large cloud of particularly smelly smoke rises: we did not understand what it was, but every day a mixed smell of petrol/kerosene infested the entire southern area of ​​the resort. Too bad, because the island is a true paradise and the staff is unmatched, but the impression is that the management could do something more to make everything high quality.

Wedding anniversary treat which failed to live up to expectations. Mediocre food which I complained about and could not eat. Avoid the Portobello restaurant. Overpriced and very overrated. Spoke to the chef about the dessert in particular and he apologised. Neither of us could eat them. Still left on the bill! Poorly lit cabins. No lights on exterior for evening to find your home and had to run the gauntlet of golf buggies. Done without lights at night! Conrad should be rolling in his grave. Rooms need some tlc. Loose decking planks on terrace and a broken sink on arrival which had water pouring onto the floor. Final bill arrived and there is 200scr charge per day for sustainability and 15scr per day for some foundation. It’s not optional but you don’t know about it till you’re leaving. Oh and check the bill I was charge 500scr for a bottle of wine from the minibar which I didn’t have. Will bring these things up with Trailfinders whom we used to book. £6000 trip wasted by small and niggling events.
