The Holiday Inn Hotel in Bodrum is a hotel full of thieves. When you’re on site and consume anything at the hotel, they don’t allow you to pay immediately. Instead, they make you sign a slip to confirm your order, which is then sent to the reception. Let me give you an example: I ordered food through Room Service, signed for a total amount, and after the servers left, they added a tip — in this case, 60 TL, which is 10% in service charges. The first time this happened, I went to settle my bill and was shocked to see that the amount they asked for was much higher than what I had actually consumed. I paid, but I became more cautious afterwards. Another shocking incident was when they added charges to my account for items I had never ordered. Strangely, when I asked them to provide the signed receipts for those items, they couldn’t find them. If I can give you one piece of advice: if you’re going to Bodrum, do NOT go to the Holiday Inn. And if you do, or if you’re already there, make sure to pay for your purchases the very next day and ASK FOR A RECEIPT. They will insist that you settle everything upon checkout — DO NOT ACCEPT THIS. You must pay the next day! I deliberately chose to resolve and verify everything the day before my departure, because on the day of your flight, you don’t have time to go over the details — and that’s exactly what they’re counting on to overcharge you while your guard is down. The day before I left, they claimed I owed them over 2000 TL. I told them I would only pay if they could produce the signed slips confirming my charges — and they couldn’t. They ended up telling me I could leave. At the same time, another man about to catch his flight was also surprised by his bill — I believe they scammed him too. To my great surprise, a week after returning to my home country, I received an invoice demanding 17,000 TL. Thankfully, I had my account summary and receipt with me! Avoid this hotel at all costs — you’ll definitely find better options in Bodrum. If the hotel staff wants to know who wrote this comment, I’m the guest from room 8108 who stayed with you from May 10 to May 18. Stop stealing from your guests. Thank you.
