The hotel is shabby, run down, lacking proper cleaning staff, lacking management staff, Lacking proper A/c and room maintenance, and is obviously owned by someone who could not give a damn about the guests. We booked for 2 weeks but checked out after a week because the service was no bad, the room we had to chase the front desk daily to have it cleaned. It was not properly cleaned . The water side bar was closed, the beach restaurant closed,, no beach boy to arrange towels or beach beds. No Ice or drinks at beach/jetty available. All the staff kept saying to use it was not their fault, it was end of season and hotel was closed but they were still taking bookings. IHG should kick them out of the IHG Franchise arrangement as it is propably the worst hotel I think I have ever stayed in. I would never recommend this to any one to stay at the hotel. Indeed why don't IHG go and check the hotel out for themselves. The manager and his drinks and beverage manager seemed more interested in fishing of the waterside jetty than actually managing the hotel and aslso the manager seemed forever just doing nothing but walking his dog. The hotel is falling apart and needs to be closed for complete refurbishment. Never again! Bodrum on the other hand is fabulous for shopping and eating and markets etc so don't let this review put you off, just dont stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bodrum by IHG
