Official Description

The club resort Costa del Sol is situated between Benalmadena Costa and Fuengirola. Fuengirola is 5 minutes drive away with available links to the public transport network just across the road from the hotel. Málaga is 30 minutes drive away and it is 15km to its airport. This hotel is built in 2004 and has a fabulous sea view. Guests have access to gardens and a sun terrace. There are 148 apartments. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, 8 lifts and a currency exchange desk, shops, 2 bars, a games room, an à la carte restaurant, Internet access and a kids' club. Medical assistance is available. The apartments are air conditioned, with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, TV and a balcony. The rooms can accommodate up to 4 people. Fantastic holiday with my 2 children and friends

Just got back from an amazing holiday in Riwo hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful the reception staff were fantastic we didn’t check in until 2:05am and they had food for us to help ourselves too as they thought we’re be hungry (all inclusive we were) before we checked in and went to our rooms. Reception staff also was really helpful showing us the best way to the beach (used the free bus shuttle ) then a short 5-10 min walk and they booked us a taxi to go to the market too which was great. The rooms were very spacious with our own kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom where we had a walk in shower and a bath with another shower over (junior suite) we had air con too which was freezing but was able to change the setting to this easy enough plus a big balcony which had a door from living room and bedroom leading out to it which had a lovely view (pics attached) The housekeeping was fantastic we had our beds changed daily with new clean fresh towels provided daily too. The all inclusive food was lovely with plenty to choice from and they had different theme nights every evening too . The pool was cold but the children didn’t mind they really enjoyed the pool. The evening entertainment was good as we watched the circus act and the singer both were fantastic. The drinks were lovely, the cocktails were very yummy with plenty of alcohol in them unlike many all inclusive hotels where it’s watered down. We had a great week and can’t wait to return again! I was very worried after reading some negative comments but please don’t get put off as it was the best hotel we have been too yet. Thankyou for our stay, we had some sad children when it was time to leave.

Good value for money, helpful pleasant staff

Great price for what's offered. Clean spacious rooms (we stayed in junior suite), pleasant warm welcoming restaurant staff: we saw a child vomit on the floor and the staff helped and cleaned the floor while singing and smiling to the kid and parents! Manager Cristina ensured we could dine with my brother's family who stayed at the Polynesia next door. What could be improved is some bar staff didn't speak English so could handle basic orders only, the night entertainment venue is too small (limited seating and small stage for the performances) not sure if it's undergoing renovation, and they could do with same paid entertainment area as Polynesia (bowling, arcade games, multiple pool tables, etc). Food variety is decent and they advised us the chicken was halal during our stay (the chef offered to show us the certificates if needed) which was a pleasant bonus. Definitely will be back hopefully when the weather is warmer because pools were freezing cold in April.

Great hotel, great staff but cold pool.

This holiday was the first time we had tried all inclusive. We were able to check in as soon as we arrived and went straight up to the room. The lobby looks amazing with a pool in the middle with fountains and loads of plants giving a jungle vibe. The room was large and airy, with doors out to a balcony from the lounge and the bedroom. We had a corner room so there were two separate balconies. There wasn’t much in the kitchenette in way of utensils and plates and such, we didn’t have a kettle either which was annoying as I’m sure it was advertised with one. The room was clean and the beds were huge, but the sofa bed was a bit old and had seen better days and wasn’t very comfy either. The food was absolutely delicious. I tried things I wouldn’t normally have eaten, the kids and hubby not so much! There were American, Asian and Arabian themed nights as well as the usual chips and nuggets for the kids. Breakfast was amazing with a full spread of meats, cheeses and the usual pastries and cereals. Be warned though, the pools are not heated! I didn’t use the one on the hotel site but I did go in the pool at the splash park over the main road. Again the pool was not heated, which is fine when it’s 22 degrees. The slides weren’t open either. I hurt my leg getting into the pool by the bubbles as the jets are set into the side that feels like coarse sandpaper and I scraped the back of my leg which still hurts. There is an indoor pool but it’s just as cold and you can only book it twice in a week s it’s attached to the health club. The hotel is set back a little way away from the main road, up a rather steep hill, which is fine if you can get the shuttle bus, but it stops at 6pm. There is a bus stop just outside the main gates to the resort and it is really easy to get around. If you’re planning on using the busses a lot get a green card for transport as it works out cheaper than paying €1.60 each direction. My only other real problem is the amount of dogs making a noise at night. The barking was constant all through the night, this wasn’t the hotels fault but it got really annoying after a couple of nights. I would recommend this hotel but I wouldn’t go back purely as we have never stayed in the same hotel before. The pool was the only thing that let it down in my eyes. All the staff were amazing and spoke great English, I did try and speak a little Spanish, and were always happy to help.

Excellent resort and staff

Every member of staff at resort was approachable and friendly. As I can’t eat gluten it makes me seriously ill I need a special diet this has proved a problem in the past but once the restaurant staff became aware of this they were absolutely wonderful they explained at each meal what was available for my dietary requirement and I found the choices excellent. Obviously this is an important part of our family holiday. Thank you so much for making this holiday extra special.

Would stay here again but...

Overall, 4 stars. Would stay here again. The Good: -Lots of amenities for family and kids -- the pool was fantastic and there was a separate one just for kids. -Can visit the other hotels in the complex for a variety of pool and entertainment -Everyone was quite friendly and social. The hotel concierge was very helpful and provided a lot of guidance on local activities and how to navigate. The Bad: -Food gets 1 star -Quote from my family: ---My 2 year old in reference to a hot dog, “I want it cooked” ---My wife after our 3rd night, “I don’t think I can eat there again” ---Also my wife, “its sad when I would rather eat KFC” -Regardless, the waitstaff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and they had a wide variety of options. The meh -The beach is a 10 minute walk downhill from the bottom of the property. (a taxi is your best option) -I wish the beach club was not open in March but I understand it's about occupancy. -Perhaps b/c I've from the US but there were no child locks. My 2 year old could open both the front door and the door to the balcony. There were also no slip-proof mats in the tub. I wish I would have known -Either take the basic room or go all inclusive. We went full board (the step before all inclusive) which means you pay for all drinks (including soda) and limits you to one restaurant; all inclusive allows you to eat anywhere and drink anything. -The indoor kid area starts at 3 (post potty training). I get it but it also limited some of the activities for my 2-year old (and they had cool indoor kid areas).
