This hotel is set on the cliffs of Firostefani, overlooking the famous caldera and the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. Narrow picturesque streets lead to the village centre, which is 300 metres away. What an incredible place!! We loved the service, the front desk staff, the room, the breakfasts, the pool and of course the view. The attention to detail was great. It is a nice quiet, awesome place. There are many restaurants close, and we hiked to Oia as well.

This is a unique,beautiful hotel with amazing staff providing an incredible level of service.The location is perfect for the famous Santorini sunsets,an abundance of great restaurants,and walks along the Fira to Oia trail. Our deluxe caldera view room was simplistic in style with a character all it’s own.It contained everything needed,with perhaps the only criticism being the size of the refrigerator,although this was probably by design. A dreamy,heavenly atmosphere pervades at Homeric Poems,a truly wonderful destination on the magical island that is Santorini.

We had an unforgettable stay in Santorini at Homeric Poems. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming — true hospitality . Breakfast was delicious and was delivered to the room every morning, and the view from our room… absolutely magical. Watching the sunset was one of the highlights of our trip.

I must start with that this is not a horrible place to stay. I have rated it 2 stars due to its claim that it is a 5 star hotel and the poor value. We had just arrived from 2 excellent hotels: Electra Palace in Athens and Grand Metsovo in Grand Metsovo and both were so much cheaper than Homeric Poems and both so much better in quality. I think the main thing you are paying for at Homeric Poems is the amazing view from your balcony. The hotel reception is a small office. When we arrived we got told that the chef was away for the duration of our stay. There is no restaurant anyway, I guess they just deliver the food to your room as this is what happened at breakfast. We were asked to inform our breakfast the night before and also to let them know what time we wanted it. The breakfast quality and quantity was poor when delivered to our room. My toast was probably in the toaster for about 1 minute and also cold. My wife's eggs were undercooked. The fruit pot consisted nearly entirely of apples with one small slice of strawberry. When I asked for a second coffee I was told this would be chargeable to my room! There is a pool which looked nice but we didn't use due to the time of year. We went to the pool bar and after 2 drinks were told it closes at 7pm! Why?? The hotel bar is located so well for sunsets and they decide to close at that time! The room is very under whelming, they seemed to have gone for a simplistic style. It also smelt too much of cleaning chemicals each time it was cleaned. The staff in the office were friendly enough so I won't complain about them. To sum up this does not feel like a hotel its is more light a set of appartments with very little facilities at a high premium.

We stayed for a week at this amazing hotel. The staff was incredible, the food delicious, the room beautiful and comfortable but... the views!!!! The last day of our stay we didn't even leave the room. I can't recommend it enough. Thank you Homeric Poems for an incredible vacation. Already planning to return.
