Worst experience ever - worth reading through

31 Mar 2018
Despite of we ended up in this hotel as a last minute place to be, I’d never had imagine how unprofessional staff were there . We booked for 2 nights, when returning back to the hotel the 1st evening we were rudely approached from one of the housekeeping members who denied to provided her name or any further information..... She came over with a towel slightly dirty with some make up demanding money to cover laundry expenses. Under our surprise of a hotel Charging for a towel I polite asked if she could provided me where I could find the hotel policy were this is explained to the guest, as I didn’t find anything in the room/lobby/hotel premisses and I would like to take a look before proceed. She said that they don’t have it (but she thanked me for the idea, she said that they will put a note in the rooms from now onwards.....I wonder what they will put....if you use the towels you will pay for the laundry so don’t??!!) At this point, when we were absolutely against to pay the laundry for a towel, she became very rude, I was trying to explain to her that it is not about money, is about service and hospitality and towels in hotels are provided to be used, and when you use them they become dirty, as they do the sheets and the room. She then, says that towels are not include in the price, that is a courtesy of the hotel and since we refuse to pay for laundry she will removed all the towels and all the bathroom amenities. When I asked what is included in the price then, she said “the mattress” so I was like...and the sheets? Courtesy of the hotel of course.... Okay then, if you take the sheets and the towels I want a cheaper price. Which obviously she didn’t agree. At this point, when situation was getting ridiculous, I asked to speak with the manager, and she said “the manager will not come to waste his time with you” , how professional.... When she felt cornered due to the non sense whole situation, she start telling me that I was drunk and I should go to my room. (I don’t drink alcohol btw) Being rude, extremely un respectful, aggressive with me and my friends and very far away to provide a good customer service. She said at the end, ok fine don’t pay for it but tomorrow you are out of this place.....of course, tomorrow is my check out day and I won’t came back ever again... I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation, I felt that this particular short hair, small and chubby houses-keeping lady was trying to get money illegally from us, plus...hotel is very average and even if is cheap, it is not worthy the price.

Cheap, not very cheerful.

We ended up staying here after the Oasis Smart (across the road) overbooked our reservations so 'helped' by reserving rooms here on our behalf. It was late when we arrived so our travel agent couldn't resolve the issue. It was pretty basic with a hard bed, lumpy pillow, v. loud air conditioning, CRT television. One of our group said their bed had cigarette burns in it. The pool isn't large enough to swim in. Understandably though, for M$650 room/night you can't expect a great deal more, but we had paid for something nicer so left after one night.

Overpriced, unpleasant rooms

31 Dec 2016
I was forced to stay here when the reservation I had made at another hotel was lost. I was forced to stay in the suite for 2000 pesos for the night. Here is a list of everything wrong with the hotel: - wifi only works in the corridor, not in the rooms - mattress is uncomfortably hard - the pillow was the single most uncomfortable thing I have ever placed my head on. It felt like placing my head on a sack of lumpy rocks - hot water wouldn't work in the shower - was thrown out of the hotel the next day because I slept in slightly past check out time - in my rush, I forgot to put my earrings on and left them behind. When I returned a few days later to ask if they had been found, I was told no. They were definitely there, make what you will of that

Meh, worth paying more for another place

31 Jul 2016
We came here when our air BnB accomodation didn't work out for one night before going to the airport. The rooms are clean and close to the shops plus it's easy to get a bus into Cancun hotel zona if you want however there really isn't much else going for the hotel. Our air conditioning was broken so it was steamy hot in the room overnight (not good in mid June when the humidity is ridiculous) plus the toilet got stuck and overflowed, the shower head was rubbish and the pool they've got is a bath. Good only for layovers if you don't have another choice, I'd rather be more comfortable and pay An extra $25 for another place closer to the zona hoteleria. Sorry!

Great value

Clean, not too small, good bed, great A/C, surprisingly quiet (we didn't have the bad luck with noisy people like the other reviewer, and the street noise was somehow absent). Staff spoke enough English to be easy to deal with - my Spanish is pretty poor. All in all a really good value for an inexpensive hotel for a night or two.
