Hotel Las Arenas Affiliated by Meliá

First time at this hotel, second time in Benalmadena. When I First got there I was a bit worried as it was quite a walk from the Marina.. which is where I wanted to be having visited before.. and I thought I had chosen something quite close.. it was also on the main road. When I got my room, I was not really happy as I had paid for a side sea view.. and there was none, but I went to the receptionist and she changed it for me. So lovely room, very comfortable beds.... very very clean.. bright in the corridors.. good lift etc. The pool can be accessed from the second floor.. nice pool area, good snack bar.. Arnold works extremely hard, making sandwiches etc and they were really nice. Clean towels every day can be changed at the pool. It over looks the sea but its a straightforward pool not good for kids. the skybar is amazing.. located on the roof and a fab view so worth a visit. we only had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was standard for four star.. very nice, well cooked could not fault it. We ate out every night. The walk to the marina is a good 20 mins but its interesting, and there are lots of bars etc on the way.. the beach is better on the far side of the marina.. as in front of the hotel it is a bit stony. the entertainment was a singer every night and they were lovely and fun. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Would highly recommend. Oh and a taxi to the marina is instant and is about 7 or 8 euros depending on the time of dayx Better for adults rather than children, but only because of the pool x

We have just returned from 10 nights at Las Arenas. Its location is good. It is spotlessly clean and has a very comfortable ambiance throughout. The food is good with a varied choice. There is nightly entertainment which attracts non resident clients. The staff are exemplary. Reception, Bar, Dining Room & Cleaning Staff are all wonderful, nothing is too much trouble for them. We would definitely return to this hotel. Would highly recommend it.

What an amazing hotel! We arrived in at 11pm after a long day of travelling and were greeted with a warm welcome and left over dinner which was a lovely surprise. Our room was beautiful, very clean and spacious! There was a travel cot provided for our 14 month old with a good matress. The food was amazing and always lots to choose from! The staff in the hotel were all so friendly and especially welcoming to our 14 month old. Although the hotel isn't catered towards childern it was great for our baby who is only learning to walk and can't do a whole lot anyway. It is directly across from the beach and a short walk to the port. Thank you to all at Las Arenas! We hope to come back some day 😊

My wife and daughter stayed at this wonderful hotel in April this year while our granddaughter was away skiing and I was left slaving away at work (and enjoying a peaceful week with the house to myself 😉). On her return my wife suggested that we should visit the hotel together and here we are. Great fans of the Melià brand we expect good service matched by reasonable prices and have definitely not been sold short in this trip. The rooms are well equipped and of a very good standard. The staff are truly exceptional in their friendliness and desire to please and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Our room has been cleaned each day and the bed linen and towels changed regularly (more often than has happened in some 5* hotels we’ve been to). Although we’re not beach lovers, it’s just across the street from the hotel (though if you want to cross the road safety it’s about three hundred metres away via the road crossing. Congratulations Las Arenas: although we travel extensively throughout Spain and the Canaries, this is only our second visit to Costa Sol and we will very definitely be back and hopefully in the very near future! Mi esposa y mi hija se alojaron en este maravilloso hotel en abril de este año, mientras nuestra nieta esquiaba y yo trabajaba como un burro (y disfrutaba de una semana tranquila con la casa para mí solo 😉). A su regreso, mi esposa sugirió que visitáramos el hotel juntas, y aquí estamos. Como grandes fans de la marca Melià, esperamos un buen servicio acompañado de precios razonables, y sin duda no nos decepcionaron en este viaje. Las habitaciones están bien equipadas y son de muy buena calidad. El personal es realmente excepcional en su amabilidad y su deseo de complacer, y nada parece ser demasiado problema. Limpiaban nuestra habitación a diario y cambiaban la ropa de cama y las toallas con regularidad (más a menudo que en algunos hoteles de 5 estrellas en los que nos hemos alojado). Aunque no nos gusta especialmente la playa, está justo enfrente del hotel (aunque si quieres cruzar la calle sin problemas, está a unos 300 metros por el paso a nivel). ¡Enhorabuena, Las Arenas! Aunque viajamos mucho por España y las Islas Canarias, ésta es sólo nuestra segunda visita a la Costa Sol, ¡y seguro que volveremos, ojalá pronto!

We had a 10 night H/B stay in a side sea view room returning on the 7 May . We can only reiterate what others have stated that the hotel is spotlessly clean the staff are professional but very kind and friendly. The food and plates were 'hot' when they were meant to be and the quality and presentation of the food was excellent. There are many sitting areas in front of the hotel, in front of the bar and of course in the wonderful sky bar area. A half price cocktail in happy hour the grand piano playing in the lounge and then dinner followed by the entertainment and then up to the sky bar finished off the day very well, We were staying when the electricity outrage occurred but the hotel services were not affected, We have already booked again.
