Must stay in Tulum

This hotel was unbelievably beautiful — from the moment we arrived, it was clear that every little detail had been thought of for an outstanding guest experience. The staff went above and beyond at every opportunity. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Our room was perfect — impeccably clean, furnished beautifully, and incredibly comfortable. It was a very peaceful retreat. The food was excellent, offering a great variety of delicious dishes. For the experience we had, the hotel was absolutely worth the price. It delivered luxury, comfort, and impeccable service

Relaxing in luxury at the beach

Our stay at Ma'xanab has been amazing! From the location (outside of the busy busy hotelzone, but with enough restaurants and beachclubs nearby), the luxurious and clean rooms, the beachclub and the swimming pool that offers you the best of both worlds and the level of service that is out of this world. To shout out a couple of people: Pauline has been so helpful from before our stay, supporting us with organizing a transfer from the airport to the hotel and with a very late check-in, but also being very responsive and helpful during our stay. All the staff at the beach club and restaurant have been super helpful, with Hermilino standing out. We stayed in the Jungle view suite and we really enjoyed the private deck with pool. I read a previous review where somebody complained about mosquitoes, but honestly: they are everywhere after sundown. It has nothing to do with that room. Our last few nights we swapped rooms (due to availability) and also the Garden View room is lovely! We were here in May and it was a bit quieter than in peak season, but the weather was amazing and you can easily get a restaurant reservation. So a lot of benefits! Highly recommend to go here.

We absolutely love the atmosphere. Lush vegetation, nice staff, it even smells tropical. My wife and I have been here three times now and will only stay at this place now. It’s small and quiet and just wonderful! We also wish we could have the breakfast all the time.

We had a wonderful stay at Maxanab Hotel Tulum. Everything was perfect—from the atmosphere to the service. A special thank you to Armando, Paulina, and Valaria for making our visit so memorable. Your kindness and hospitality truly stood out. Also, heartfelt thanks to the housekeeping ladies for keeping everything so clean and comfortable, and to the restaurant team for the delicious food and excellent service. We hope to come back again soon!

Perfect relaxing stay - food, service and setting top class

Couldn’t recommend Hotel Ma’xanab enough. It’s a beautiful hotel at the quiet end of the beach, with excellent food and excellent service. We stayed in a suite first floor ocean view - the room was great, sea view and little details such as a speaker to use in the room whilst staying, indoor and outdoor showers, and snacks kept topped up in the fridge. The breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. We ate lunch there a couple of times too and the options are great and the food is fresh and tasty. José often served us, he was very friendly and we can’t fault his service. Cocktails are expensive but still a little cheaper than other options along Tulum beach. The staff do their best to keep the seaweed under control at the beach but sadly the properties either side don’t maintain it as well so there is quite a lot of seaweed at this time of year (early May), I assume this is less of a problem earlier in the year in high season. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were available via WhatsApp for anything you needed and we were very well looked after. Thank you for a lovely stay.
