This was my second time visiting this hotel and I have mixed feelings. I do love the hotel the overall service and menu foods are great. The buffet is still a bit average. The hotel is great, however the general maintenance is lacking (there was a puddle in our building that just keep getting bigger, it seemed like it was not getting mop, not even a wet floor sign) and small details like that. My sister pointed out that some of the food was generic (Nutella and Valentina sauce) I am not a big consumer of those and was hard for me to spot it, but she is, it made me wonder about the rest, specially alcohol. With that in mind I would still going back, for the price I had paid (got some deals both times, I wouldn't paid full price under not circumstances) so going to the negative. - first and most important: I got a vacation certificate last time I was there, the whole ordeal was sketchy from the beginning. The conditions were not well explained, I wasn't told I had to commit to a date three months from the purchase considering, the certificate was good for 2 years. Meaning you have to plan a vacation almost two years in advance, in my case it was almost a year. They also didn't mention I had to attend and sale pitch...that was the worst of the experience, I basically waste a whole morning, trying to get out of there, they actually almost convinced me, but I was pressure into taking a decision right then and there, which I was not comfortable. If you can avoid this I highly advice it, at least you are actually interested on getting a timeshare The other negative point was the activities outside the hotel. Last time I stay at the hotel the home stay, and I would advise to do the same. For the price you are paying, it is only worth it if you enjoy food, drinks and facilities at the hotel. We did Xochimilco and Catamaran Xochimilco was great, however it is advertised as premium dinner and drinks and it couldn't be farther from the truth, tequila is Jose Cuervo which is one of the worst and cheapest tequilas and some can mixed drinks, aguas frescas taste artificial and food is just average. Catamaran is basically the same, drinks are bad, they advertise beach club which is not included (actually it doesn't exist) you get a lunch box and drinks similar to Xochimilco (you missed a whole day in the hotel)
