We had an amazing week at Hurawalhi for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, possibly the best holiday ever! It was a long trip from Australia but totally worth it. We went the first week of June and were a bit worried we would have bad weather but it was perfect. Hot and sunny with a lovely breeze. Between 5-10 mins of rain a day which was no problem. Being off-season also meant that the resort was relatively empty so we had first pick of pretty much everything. We had an over water villa with pool which was lovely. Easy access to the ocean from our deck and the water was wonderfully warm. We had the Bed & Breakfast package and thought long and hard about upgrading to the All Inclusive Package but were glad we didn't. We are not huge eaters and drinkers so this worked well for us as it gave us plenty of flexibility. We would spend an hour or so in the gym in the morning, have a late breakfast then a few cocktails/drinks before an early dinner with wine. Not being tied to the AIP meant we were able to sample all the restaurants. Special mention to the Kashubi - both ala carte and teppanyaki which were fantastic. And obviously the 5.8 undersea restaurant was out of this world! It was like being in our own personal National Geographic documentary and the food and wine pairing was spectacular. Truly a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed - make sure you book a table when you book your accommodation so as not to miss out. The quality of the food at every restaurant was excellent - the breakfast buffet was the best I've even had. The Staff were wonderful, so kind and attentive and nothing was a problem. My husband had a massage in the spa and Pop did a great job ironing out his muscle aches and pains. He is also a big runner and we were both very impressed by the variety and high quality of the equipment in the gym. We did a turtle snorkelling trip and were amazed that we could swim so close to these incredible, huge animals. We could fault nothing during our time at Hurawalhi and can't wait to return. Highly, highly recommend!
