April/May Another great stay at the Sabila, with all the illustrious staff with no exceptions, some new, some that have been there on previous trips. Greeted by Miguel at the hotel entrance, took our luggage and guided us to check in, where we were given a refreshing face towel and a cool drink. The gastronomy of the hotel is a buffet, breakfast, lunch and dinner, which is great, as you would have to be really picky if you can't find something you fancy. The staff are "great" greeting guests at the restaurant entrance with a smile. The omelettes, brilliant my favourite at breakfast. On certain days at dinner there is a great seafood selection, oysters lobster tails, king prawns plus a little cava, what else could you ask for. Then, to finish, with strawberries. The animation team with Andrew and team, together with outside specialist people such as Marcelo and Rosie with the glass jewellery keep us entertained. Evening entertainment was with the usual suspects, but for us the highlight being the laser and African type show, keep up that standard. Bar servers always attentive, whether in the lobby with Luis, or Marina at the pool bar. New this trip being the sunbed reservation system, which initially thought was going to be an obstacle, but having made the reservation through the Iberostar app. was quite easy. There may need a few tweaks, as all systems do, but can be a positive. A big shout out to Santiago and Carmela, who can also book your sunbed. Always cheerful and helpful. They have an unenviable job helping guests and policing the reservations. We have been coming to the hotel for a number of years so there must be some obvious reason for doing so, such as the cleanliness, quality, friendly staff etc; gastronomy, location, and access to the beach, promenade shops and bars etc. A great idea to see more of Costa Adeje and Playa Las Americas area is to travel on the tourist train, offering 2 different tours. Both are circular, that means that it finishes at the same point where they picked you up. On each tour, there are 2-3 stops on places of special interest where you can choose to hop off, and with the original ticket, hop on again whenever you want. We enjoyed our stay and will be back later in the year for my wife's birthday, all being well.
