Idle Awhile

My Hubby and I celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary at Idle Awhile. While we call ourselves Jamericans as we've visited the island at least time 2 times a year for the last 25 years and seem to love Negril and The 7 mile beach which is where Idle Awhile is nestled. We got married in Montego Bay 25 years ago and been coming back often as we can since. This place is relaxing and the food is Ital, fresh and organic and masterfully and simply prepared with a Jamaican influence that is authentic The staff is wonderful. Standouts are Monique (MoMo) at the Beach Bar and Resturant. Her energy is pure love and acommadating. She remembered our actual anniversary day and gifted us some of the sweetest mangoes I have ever tasted and even brought us beef patties one day. So thoughtful. . Anthony the Amazing life guard, water sports and Hobie Captain. He was outstanding and navigated the sea with care, compassion and safety always at the forefront. We sailed to BooBee Cay just off the coast of the resort. Such a memorable experience. The accommodations were simply perfect. Boutique Island chic. Our Veranda was oceanview and we lived out there letting the sounds of Jamaica rock us to sleep. Go Idle Awile NOW!!! You want regret it. Leslie St. Louis

If you want to treat yourself to an incredible Jamaican vacation with access to a pristine beach, wonderfully kept rooms, the coziest bed to crawl into at the end of the day and an amazing team of people - from the housekeepers, front desk staff, grounds people, bar and restaurant staff, and lifeguards - then Idle Awhile is the place for you. Luxurious yet affordable with beautifully kept grounds that made the perfect backdrop for family pictures. This small boutique hotel is gorgeous and outfitted with cherry wood interiors, beautiful porches, hammocks, and soft white sand. Thank you to the Beautiful Claudia, Leona, and Hopeton for wonderful service in the restaurant and many laughs. Thank you to Isley for always stopping to check in on my little boy and being so kind. And Annetha was the most amazing to work with leading up to our trip to directly book excursions and transportation. She left no detail to chance and was always available for questions. Thank you to the Idle Awhile team for making my birthday trip with friends and family effortless and memorable. This is my second stay with you and we will be back. Soon!

Excellent service and food! My new fav hidden gem 🤞 Will definitely be revisiting with my friends for an amazing time .. big up Hopeton our server and bartender for his excellent service. Definitely looking forward to my next visit. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

One of my favourite negril restaurants for lunch and dinner. Quality food fair price great service wonderful atmosphere. Best burgers salads and wraps. Water glass always refilled. Attentive friendly staff. 5 stars . A little garden oasis on the beach.

Not a big property, but quiet and on a great beach. Checking in was simple and easy, the restaurant had great food and service. The staff was very courteous and efficient with our needs. Very clean and well maintained property. Can walk anywhere from this location. I would highly recommend Idle Awhile to anyone. Need to plan in advance due to it's small amount of rooms/suites.
