Great base in Fira - quiet, comfortable, walkable to everywhere in town

I was greeted with enthusiasm by Kostas. He gave me the run down for the villa and the area, including places to eat with a view as well as local family run restaurants worth a visit. My suite was smaller than the pictures suggested but that wasn't an issue as it will light and airy. I nearly always dozed off quickly at night as the bed was so comfortable and the hot tub was great, especially after a day walking. The pool area was small but suited the size of the compound and got the sun from about 9am until mid-afternoon. Breakfast was brought to the rooms each morning based on the order from the night before so I was able to wake up more slowly than in other hotels. Even the last day was organised around me by Emmy. The hotel was closing for the season, and it was quickly clear that everyone was in full tidy up and clean down mode, but she arranged for a sun bed to be left at the pool for me to chill and a taxi to pick me up at 6pm even though checkout was 11am. All in all, this was a great stay.

A big thanks to the whole team, the hotel is very nice, ultra clean and close to the center while avoiding disturbances. Special thanks to the desk team Emy & Kostas for their kindness and availability - ask Kostas for restaurant advice, he has a lots of tasty addresses. The Junior suite 1 is very well decorated and spacious. Breakfast varied, copious and good. This is a top choice even if it has no view on the caldera !

Wow what a fantastic place everything you need from amazing service room perfect and breakfast.We came for our wedding anniversary for 1 night as we stayed in Perissa the stay was fantastic lovely helpful staff with great knowledge of restaurants bars etc .We will be returning next year for 2 nights.The hot tub was lovely.

Very nice stay for 3 nights. Clean, comfortable and everything provided. Excellent customer service and ideally placed, walking distance to bars and restaurants in Fira. Well located as a central hub for visiting the rest of the island.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? My boyfriend and I recently arrived in Santorini with no specific plans other than to wander and soak up the local culture. After visiting two other Greek islands, our expectations were modest; we weren't quite sure what to expect from Santorini beyond the snippets we had seen on social media and various travel websites. It’s often challenging to determine what truly stands out based on online reviews alone. Upon our arrival at Irene City Villas, we were warmly welcomed by you, Liza, one of the hotel receptionists. Right from the start, your friendliness and sense of humor made us feel completely at home. While we waited for our room, we chatted about our plans for our time in Santorini. When you learned that we didn’t have many arrangements in place, you jumped right in to help! You went above and beyond—making dinner reservations, booking us a fantastic boat tour to explore the island, and sharing countless insider tips about local attractions. Remarkably, none of the restaurants you recommended were on my original list, but I was thrilled to follow your advice. Having lived on the island for 19 years, your knowledge and passion truly shone through. One of your suggestions, Salt and Pepper, was an absolute gem! This charming, authentic restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife team—the husband in the kitchen and the wife serving. We had such a delightful experience there; just a note for future visitors: definitely call ahead to make a reservation! In short, I believe Liza deserves all the accolades. If anyone at Irene City Villas is reading this, please consider giving her a well-deserved promotion, raise, or bonus. She played a pivotal role in making our trip to Greece unforgettable, and we can’t stop talking about how she was one of our highlights during our visit. That speaks volumes! Liza, we miss you and can’t thank you enough for everything!
