From the moment we arrived at The Island Inn, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for a truly memorable stay. Special thanks to Kenja and Carol, who were absolutely amazing. The entire team went above and beyond—always friendly, attentive, and ready with a smile. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our visit. A heartfelt shoutout to Terri, Mani, and Chrystal at the bar, and Doris, Janette, Tia, and Sharon in the restaurant. Apologies if we’ve missed anyone—every single staff member was excellent. The food was a standout highlight. Each meal was a delightful experience, with flavourful ingredients and beautifully presented dishes that reflected both creativity and care. The daily changing menu kept things exciting and fresh, whether it was a hearty breakfast or a romantic dinner. As for the amenities, The Island Inn is a charming three-star hotel that punches well above its weight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large, clean bathrooms—though slightly dated, they were impeccably maintained. The pool, while small, is perfectly suited to the intimate size of the hotel, and the cozy lounge areas are thoughtfully designed for relaxation and connection. With only 24 rooms, the hotel offers a wonderfully sociable atmosphere. If you're the kind of person who enjoys meeting fellow travellers, you’ll likely know most of the guests by day two. It’s not a party scene, but it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy good company in the shared spaces. I’m already looking forward to returning and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a cozy, welcoming, and well-run escape.
