One of the best hotels around !

Outstanding hotel! Nothing to fault The hotel staff from the reception to housekeeping to the restaurant everyone is so attentive, genuine and passionate about their job. Special thank you to Ms Camillia and her team at reception and Mohammed and his team across house keeping. The level of detail and attentiveness, one of the nights we were staying there there was a concert in Marina which is out of the hotels control but they informed us and brought us ear covers in case we needed it and it wasn’t even loud. Housekeeping check your room throughout the day not just once. I asked for extra water for my baby and they action any request within minutes. They don’t forget anything. Coming here as a family is the most amazing thing because you don’t have to think.there is even babysitting srrvice which is super reasonably priced. Breakfast is great there is a dedicated kids section where they can eat and play. The hotel has lots of activities for the kids - they will not get bored and it’s big enough that you don’t feel the crowd. We have been many times and it just keeps getting better. Bravo! Because consistency is not always the case in hotels and you do a great job of it!

So sad to see how such an amazing experience is being destroyed by the bean counters

I have been coming to this hotel since 2014 when I can honestly say our stay was faultless and probably the best hotel experience imaginable. We have come back as a family 3-4 times since and did notice it had slipped further each time but thought that was just due to the initial first visit 'wow' factor. We have arrived yesterday after a 6 year hiatus and althought this is still an exceptional hotel with fabulous staff, one can't help notice the penny pinching which seems to have no limits. The half board offer across Jumeriah Hotels which previously had a choice of 49 locations is not down to about 20- with a number of them having supplements added. Gone are the nice touches like complimentary beach bags and a chocolate on your pillow at turndown service. The hotel shuttle service is virtually non existent now from a fabulous service in the past. This went some way to make up for the location which is at the end of the outer ring of the Palm. Breakfast at Imperium although decent is nowhere as extensive in the past with many things presumably gone to save money eg live fruit chopping, different juices and smoothies. Some positives- an amzing live dosa station with probably the best dosa I have ever had, and a to go self serve coffee station at the entrance. The staff here are still faultless, yes the hotel is getting a little worn around the edges which is to be expected and I presum a refurb is upcoming. Its just a shame that a hotel so exceptional has allowed the bean counters to remove the things that made this place special. As other reviews show it is still amazing, but I presume those reviews are first timers who have not experienced how far this hotel has fallen from the heady heights of the past. As things stand, this may well be our last visit here after 11 years. This is purely down to the penny pinching. Management need to understand most of your guests are hard working people who come to enjoy some time and luxury with their familes with their hard earned money. If anyone from management is reading this, these things DO make a difference to guest experience. Customer acquisition is far harder and costs a lot more than customer retention. You don't need an MBA to understand this. Stop being so tight and give the very best you can to your guests. You've done it before you can do it again. And everyone wins. The hotel, the staff, your finances, and most of all your guests.

I stayed at this hotel from the 12th June - 16th June. I have to give this hotel a 5* review. It was luxurious, clean and efficient. The gym facilities were brilliant and the spa was incredible. My routine was to have breakfast, gym, spa, pool, sun bath, and then swim in the ocean. After I would go to the small little bar on the ground floor and have 2 beers, then go back to the spa area and have a shower. This hotel was incredible

Stayed at the Jumeriah Zabel Saray for the first time, the hotel is beautiful, super clean and the food is exceptional. Pool staff are so helpful in finding you lounger’s and making sure you have cold water and drinks etc, exspec Islam who was so helpful everyday, excellent service he couldn’t do enough for us thank you Islam.

Feeling very sad, I lost my eye glasses in the hotel

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding the experience I had during my recent stay at your hotel. As a guest who arrived with high expectations, I left frustrated, disrespected, and disheartened. I arrived at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on 24th June 2025 at approximately 9:00 PM. My friend had already checked in earlier, and I was excited to join her. Upon arrival, I checked in — but to my surprise, no staff escorted me to the room. I had to find my own way, dragging my luggage without assistance. I assumed perhaps this was the level of service offered, so I didn’t complain at the time. Later, we went to the restaurant, and again, there was no orientation or guidance on the buffet. We were simply left to figure things out for ourselves, which felt strange for a five-star hotel experience. However, what truly upset me — and prompted this letter — was the way my missing eyeglasses were handled. We packed our belongings at 12:00 PM the next day, and I left my eyeglasses inside the room, placed clearly on the table next to the television, behind the fruit basket. We were still allowed to use the spa after checkout, so we left the room and headed there. At around 3:00 PM, when we were preparing to leave the hotel, I realized my glasses were missing. I informed my friend, and we both agreed that since we left them in the room, they were likely turned in to the front desk or housekeeping. I approached the reception, who casually directed me to the concierge. There, the staff didn’t ask for my details and instead dismissively told me, “go, we will call you.” Feeling uneasy, we returned to the reception desk. Only after my visibly upset friend intervened did anyone begin to show even a little concern. We were made to wait from 4:00 PM to 6:19 PM, receiving little to no communication, help, or empathy during that entire time. Eventually, a gentleman wearing a kandura was kind enough to try and assist us — the only person who made an effort. We also asked a security officer for help, but he initially refused, saying he would only assist us after we had left the hotel. When we asked to speak with the manager, he declined and told us to go back to the front desk. Eventually, the same security officer took a photo of me, including what I was wearing — yet still, no action was taken and no follow-up was made based on that. It felt performative and dismissive rather than genuinely helpful. I want to make it clear: these glasses are not a fashion item — they are a necessity for my vision. I arrived at your hotel wearing them, and left without them, in physical discomfort and emotional distress. We explained the exact location of the glasses multiple times. Rather than taking it seriously, we were told that your staff are “well-trained” and even encouraged to call the police if we were not satisfied. That response was deeply insensitive. I understand these glasses are not designer-branded, but they are mine, and they are essential for my vision and daily life. Even public services in Dubai, such as RTA taxis and the metro, go to great lengths to return lost items. I expected at least that much from a five-star hotel. Now, due to your staff’s failure to take responsibility, I am forced to purchase new optical glasses — something that was never planned, and which causes both financial inconvenience and physical discomfort. Please investigate this matter seriously: • Review your security footage. • Question the housekeeping staff who cleaned that room. • Trace what happened between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. This experience has made me question whether my race or background played a role in how I was treated. I hope this is not the case — but it’s painful that I’m even left to wonder. You are a respected brand. I trusted that my belongings — and more importantly, my dignity — would be respected during my stay. That trust was broken. Please respond with urgency and accountability.
