JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes

The hotel is very nice and clean, staff is nice but in order to go to the pool and get some chairs with umbrella you have to fall in line as early as 7 am before the gate opens at 8 am. Its ridiculous! The line is already long by the time you actually fall in line at 7. Not coming again unless im ok getting burned in the sun

We did not stay here, but stayed next door at MVC. We were able to purchase a day pass to use the facilities. While I cannot comment on the accomodations, the pool area is amazing. We went over around 11 am and had no trouble finding four loungers under umbrellas. Our waiter, Chris was friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were good, but pricey as you would expect. The lazy river is the best we've ever experienced and the water slides are water park caliber. We had a wonderful day at the JW.

My wife, 2 kids (6 and 10) and our mothers spent a day at JW. It was an amazing place. We spent a lot of time by the pool. The pool was perfect for both kids and adults. There were 3 water slides and the lines weren't too long even on the weekends. There was also a kids area where they could put on a harness and run through water and obstacles on an elevated surface. Pool servers were pretty good. They took care of us all weekend. Food at the pool and food trucks were better than most pools. The front desk was helpful all weekend. We were able to get an early check in which was nice because we left our house at 2:30 am to catch an early flight. Everyone at the resort was over the top kind all weekend. We can't wait to go back.

Our second stay here and sadly, it was disappointing. We stayed 4 nights during the week before Easter and the whole hotel was full. It felt chaotic, with queues everywhere! Huge queues for breakfast at Citron. They even opened an over flow room at breakfast, sitting in there (we were seated there twice) was like a school canteen with conference chairs. The pool was packed, however most depressing, was the 8am towel scrum for sun loungers! Good luck finding your family a sun lounger after 8.30am. No one was sitting on them of course, but they’d all been bagged with towels / hats/ sun cream bottles. In other notes, Citron didn’t offer a vegetarian option for the Friday evening buffet. Unbelievable in 2025! Lovely service in both the JW bar from Colin in the evening. Also great service and ambiance in the RC bar. Very welcoming in the RC Highball and Harvest with a wonderful waiter from Morocco, thank you. My children made friends and enjoyed playing football with their new buddies, there’s a nice green area / pitch by the RC. We weren’t given any useful information at check in, such as times for the Disney shuttle etc … The TV didn’t work in our room, maintenance came swiftly to mend it, but left a wire dangling.

From an Elite Loyalty Program Member: 500+ nights in Marriott properties My stay was very unpleasant due to the staff. My co-parent and I have a baby and requested his milk that had arrived to the hotel by Uber Eats two hours prior multiple times to be taken to the room and no one brought. I had to go down with a crying baby because he needs his milk in order to go to sleep. The bellman behaved extremely disrespectfully to me and denied bringing the milk upstairs. I had to carry the baby on one hand and the milk on the other hand to the room. This is ridiculous and unacceptable behavior from a staff member. This man should be removed from the staff immediately and never be hired again in any Marriott property. Also, when I checked in I advised the hotel staff that my father has a reservation for multiple rooms the next day and to include both of the rooms I currently checked in for in that reservation so our stay is successfully extended without changing rooms. The receptonist advised that it had been successfully completed and this was confirmed by my father upon check in. Later next day, I, my co-parent and son arrived exhausted from a whole day at the disney parks followed by my fathers birthday dinner. I had to help her put the baby to sleep because it’s tough to do alone. The front desk staff advised they didn’t have ny keys for the room and couldn’t give me one because they didn’t know which rooms my father had checked in for even though this was done the night before and upon check in directly with them. The Asian man who handled this the day prior said he couldn’t help me and him and his manager were impolite to me. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. They made me wait over an hour for the keys while my co-parent was struggling harshly with our child upstairs. This is an example of sheer incompetence and uncoordination by the staff. It is extremely unprofessional. I’ve stayed over 500 nights in Marriott properties around the world. In the past 6 years I’ve had the titanium elite status for 2 years, the ambassador elite status for 3 years and a platinum elite status for 1 year. This unpleasant experience has made me reconsider and recommend other brands to my business associates and friends. Having staff that behaves like this tarnishes and damages the Marriott brand and reputation and I highly recommend for the bellman to be fired and replaced as well as the front desk staff responsable for this situation including the incompetent manager that took over an hour to realize the room had been paid for and checked into by my father earlier that day. I’ve been a part of Marriott loyalty program for about a decade and have experienced excellence for the most part. This is the most unpleasant and damaging experience I’ve ever had in the 500+ nights I’ve stayed in your properties. Sincerely, Walid Abu Nabaa
