Kairaba Bodrum Imperial Hotel

Had a family holiday here in October of 2025 and overall enjoyed our stay. The food in the buffet was of a good standard of quality and freshness and there was a variety of dishes on offer. My family were not impressed with the offerings at the Italian style restaurant and we ended up eating at the buffet that day. The location of this hotel is unfortunate as it is fairly isolated and there are almost no shops in the area so there is just the hotel shop to buy things at. There is a bus that will take you into Bodrum proper but it take around 60-45 mins.The children enjoyed the kids club and took part in interesting activities indoors when there was a rainy day. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment at night and the music round the pool was very repetitive. The room was clean and beds were changed everyday and minibar topped up daily too. Over all it was a nice holiday but we wont return

Stayed here beginning of October, got moved here as our hotel closed early this was supposed to be an upgrade . Positives : Very clean beach /sea with snack bar Sea warmer than the pool Patisserie /cafe fresh coffees cakes Lollies Snack bar with table service 24 hour restaurant Cleaners good Massive pool Friendly staff at the bar in the evening Branded drinks 24hr Entertainment every night was ok live bands mostly Some pool entertainment Mini bar in room stocked Dailey with beers and soft drinks 70tl for bus to bodrum or midtown 49mins Negatives Feral cats jumping on food very unsanitary Lots of dogs they were friendly Awful Al a Carte we were all ill with upset stomach after the Italian Buffet was like a free for all , ran out of food quickly very repetitive food Toilets were filthy - not cleaned and stank ! Middle of nowhere couldn’t walk anywhere had to get a bus to go anywhere ! Felt like you were stuck there Rooms were basic very tired , looking thin walls Spa very expensive Photographers pester u and spa people around the pool daily ! Beach water sports extortionate price Air con rubbish Very expensive shop on resort / supermarket 5min walk away Slide hardly ever open All In all an ok stay it’s probably a 3 star ⭐️ wouldn’t choose to go back or recommend .

First I want to say, I don't usually do reviews. But I feel that the way this hotel is advertised is so misleading that it warrants one. Rooms old and dirty, we changed room and got a slightly cleaner room but by no means 5 star room. We didn't mind the cats situation at first. However, they are scratching at your clothes and legs while you eat so it crosses a line. Many of the dogs roaming seemed to dislike certain males (I had booked a break away with my mother so we luckily didn't experience them get aggressive directly at us) but they chase you when you have snacks which even as dog people can be scary. The food was repetitive yes, however we made do and enjoyed the fresh salads so this was probably lower on the list of disappointments to be honest. We came here for a relaxing break with our meals drinks included so we could just chill on the beach daily, but the hotel decided to start closing their facilities one by one during the week of our stay. We had a late return flight - the last day we were told there's no food, pool and spa are closed but just drink beer. We paid for 7 days all inclusive and didn't get that (they were getting lower and lower stock of the spirits needed for cocktails throughout the week), also if you look at high season reviews (I admit I missed the ones on Facebook, lesson learned!) you can see this isn't just an end of season thing. Book somewhere else, the price is low here for a reason.

We stayed here in mid October 2025. The hotel is quite nice but could do with some modernisation to the rooms, especially the bathrooms and some tweaks here and there. I have travelled to Turkey on many occasions and stayed at some fantastic hotels. The Selectum Collection doesn't quite live up to these, but to be fair it is a nice hotel and well worth a trip if the price is right. In my opinion it is a decent 4 star hotel and not a 5 star hotel. I was told that the company only took over the hotel in January 2025 and they are in the process of updating the rooms, but I can't verify this either way. It is situated in quite a remote place, but there are regular buses for 70 TL into Bodrum. Although Turgutreis is nearer and in my opinion a bit nicer than Bodrum, there are only limited buses which is a shame. That said the hotel will arrange a Taxi (approx 15 Euro) if you need one. There are cats and dogs at the hotel which are looked after and will wander in and out especially by the main restaurant. Personally, I like that they are tolerated and most of the guests like to feed and stroke them. However, I noticed that the male cats had their tackle intact and in my opinion the hotel should have a neutering and care program for the cats if they don't want to get over run in the future. It would be a relatively simple and cheap process to do this. We didn't use the al a carte so can't comment on these. The good points are. Staff were friendly and helpful Food is generally good and plentiful-you won't go hungry Bars (lobby, pool, beach) drinks are good including named brands Main pool is of a good size and there were plenty of sunbeds (bear in mind it was October and not August) The slide is fun at the main pool but not always open. It's faster than it looks as well. Quiet pool was a good place to chill out away from the hustle and bustle Beach was nice and sea was great for swimming in. *my tip is to use the pier to go into the sea as it is still shallow. Rooms are as good size with mini bar, dryer, toiletries, safe and tv. Grounds are well kept. Good to go snack restaurant near the quiet pool was top notch. Coffee shop/patisserie nice Free Hammam and sauna Other facilities include gym, tennis courts, basketball courts, onsite shop, kids club. Buses to Bodrum cheap and regular if you want to venture out. Could be better. Bathroom decor looking tired, some leaks in ours from sink and occasionally shower (room 4206) Sea view is limited due to layout, so don't bother paying extra for one Some furniture in rooms looking tired Food is plentiful, but can be a tad limited Some days fruit juices in the restaurant were obviously watered down and is unacceptable for a claimed 5 star hotel Not a great fruit selection - no banana, no melon on some days and only one type of melon. The fruit salad consisted of mainly carrot one day! Only 3 working English TV channels - NHK Japan, France News and Cartoon Network. Could do with some more for when chilling in the room. Entertainment was limited to band/singer everyday which was good, but really loud from our room due to single glazed balcony door. Water sports and massage quite expensive compared to others so we didn't use. Steam room was out of service. Overall, it is a good hotel in a remote location so if your ideal holiday is the hustle and bustle of Bodrum then maybe not for you, but if you want a relaxing chill time then give it a go. It's not perfect but none the less pretty good. I ask myself would I stay there again. I definitely would as the experience overall was a favourable and positive one.
