Please remember this is our opinion. We are both in our 60s and have travelled extensively as most people our Good Points Hotels decor is lavish to say the least, lots of mosaics, marble floors, quality furnishings Room was big and airy, aircon worked beautifully, very clean. I’m afraid that’s about it. Bad points All inclusive is possibly the worst we have encountered: On arrival half a bottle of water from a previous guest was in the room, obviously we discarded this and proceeded to go down to reception to ask for another to be told we are only allowed one bottle and should have kept it to fill it up at the bar, we were advised to go to the shop and buy another, this is supposedly 5 star Regularly had to chase for tea bags and milk, not even a spoon in the room just a wooden stirrer like McDonald’s use Fridge in the room completely empty, as with other things at this hotel, absolutely no info regarding getting the fridge populated. Most all inclusive drinks were in fact undrinkable, poor quality, if you wanted proper branded drinks then 8 or 12 euros. Service at all the bars very slow, in fact after waiting 20 minutes we left, despite going to the bar to be told it was waitress service only, when we did eventually get a drink (Pina Colada) it was basically just a fruit juice, the wine was ok. Depending which bar you went to determined the strength of drink ordered, absolutely no consistency, Coffee machine in the pool bar broken for 12 days and still broken 7 days later when we left, as we enjoy coffee this was not brilliant If ordering a drink that was to be taken away it was served in a plastic cup (5 star) Pool area not than clean, water line of pool had a grease band all the way round Many staff both in the canteen and bar areas seem to avoid eye contact, one morning we had to ask 3 members of staff just for a jug of coffee Food in restaurant was ok, a bit repetitive but plenty of choice, there is little option for snacks/ice cream during the day though Entertainment is poor, Greek night consisted of 3 guy s on guitars, no dancers nothing, one night was a violinist🙄 Cocktail menus consist of scruffy A4 unlaminated paper, stapled together, ripped and stained. (5 star) I could go on but all in all a poor experience, I question the validity of other 5 star reviews. To summarise! This is not a hotel we will be returning to neither recommend to anybody, on speaking to other guests they are of this opinion also. The staff are not attentive, we did attempt to upgrade our room on arrival to be told by reception staff we will get back to you shortly to get this sorted, we are still waiting. Allegedly from previous trip advisor responses from management this is offered to guests automatically, we asked and got nowhere. It is such a shame, the hotel is beautifully decorated, opulent and very clean , let down by cheap poor service,, inattentive staff, . If you mind walking and steep hills then this hotel is not for you, it’s a mission to go to the beach , and a fair walk to the restaurant, there are buggies but not always available. There is little very close but we did venture to Spiros Fish restaurant about a mile away, it was expensive (£135) for 2 of us but ok, borderline if it was worth it. The reception staff give you very little info regarding the hotel or facilities, we learned more from one of the buggy drivers. The sun beds are good quality and there are plenty of them, there is no poolside service, We have had better 3 star hotels, make your own mind up
