Kassandra Bay Resort

Can’t fault this hotel. Short transfer from the airport. Spotlessly clean areas, room was great. Fridge, kettle with tea and coffee, complimentary bottle of wine and water, loads of wardrobe and draw space and a modern bathroom. Not a brilliant view from our room but didn’t request sea view. 2 lovely pools with more than enough sun beds which by the way are the best sun beds I’ve ever seen as they have a thick padded cover on them. The beach has the same beds too. A waiter takes orders for drinks from you sun bed and the beach sun shades have a bell on the to press for waiter service. Only stayed B & B so can’t comment on lunch and dinner but the breakfast has absolutely everything you could wish for (even sprouts one morning 😁). We did have a meal in the black olive which was great and a couple of nights we ordered from the bar. The ‘snacks’ are large and we easily shared. Big round of applause to the staff, they go above and beyond to make you feel treated. Sour out to Kelly who seems to be everywhere and Chris in the pool bar, cheeky happy and always giggling. Not a lot to do around the hotel but everything is easily accessible. There is a water taxi on the beach that we preferred to use rather than the bus. It’s a really nice way to get to town, however a couple of nights it wasn’t running so we used the bus. If anyone has been to Skiathos before they will know that the bus stop go from 0-26 and run from one end of the island to the other. Kassandra Bay is at bus stop 8. It’s worth doing the whole run so you can see what’s about and you have the option to visit. Skiathos town is like a labyrinth with some great bars and restaurants. Places worth a visit are Anderssons for cocktails, they are the best especially the passion fruit daiquiri. Bourtzi is a must, the views are fantastic and The windmill does excellent food however its a bit of a trek up to it and you need to book!! Another restaurant near the hotel is The Olive Thea. Great views and you can ask reception to book for you, Olive Thea staff come and pick you up from the hotel and drop you back off. We don’t usually go to the same place twice but I would definitely return.

Staff very friendly. Room cleaned daily. Only stayed B&B and breakfast amazing. If I could suggest an improvement it would be to rake sand on beach to improve appearance of that area. Excellent hotel and would highly recommend. I would not hesitate in returning.

My family have just returned from another fantastic week at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were spotless, as was the rest of the hotel. The reception team were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The staff at the pool bar were friendly and attentive…..ordering drinks and food from your poolside or beach lounger couldn’t have been easier. The pool felt very safe for children with constant supervision from the lifeguards. There was a lovely atmosphere here both during the day and in the evenings. See you all again! John

This was our second visit to kssandra bay, the views are gorgeous, really clean rooms and wonderful food, drinks and service. We had one day of rain and realised there is a lack of facilities for kids in this scenario , a pool table or ping pong wouldnt go amiss here ! Other than that, it did not disappoint .

We upgraded to a sea view room and were allocated a family room 321 with great space and a fantastic terrace. The bathroom had been recently refurbished with contemporary tiling and decor, very nice. The room had a fridge and 55 inch tv. Our room maid did a super job of cleaning the room on a daily basis. The whole of the staff team were faultless: sociable, caring, professional, friendly. Can't speak highly enough of them all ! Breakfast was up there with the best we've experienced, no busdle bussle and a great selection. We ate in the Black Olive a couple of times which was nice and not overpriced. The menu wasn't extensive but acceptable Our only real criticism woukd be lack of walkable tavernas in the locality, the main option being a beach taverna which had fantastic views but underwhelming food. The hotel is only a 10 minute bus or water taxi ride from Skiathos Town which we went into most nights What a lovely town it is! Hygiene standards were exemplary in all areas, not once did we see litter or dirty areas, so important in hot climates. Pool and beach areas had plenty of comfortable beds with waiter service call buttons on the beach. The pools (3) were seawater which were well maintained . We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.
