Don’t bother

31 Jul 2025
Have stopped in the main hotel and the rooms are lovely, clean and tidy, this time stayed in Studio 2 and our room was disgusting, the bed was broken, the mattress was like a sea saw, no slats at the bottom and the ones at the top were broken, told reception they didn’t seem that bothered even though I informed them that I had spinal surgery a few months before and I have a spinal shunt in my back. They told us they had no other rooms and that maintenance would come and sort it, that night we had to us the sofa cushions to prop up the top end of the bed in order to sleep on it. Next morning had to report the shower not working and asked again about maintenance and they told us it would be done while we were out, got back nothing had been done so asked again and was told “the wood shops were closed” so had another night of no sleep, next day they sorted both out. Our fire alarm in the room would go off randomly and we told a Scottish guy on the desk that night and his attitude was disgusting. Asked for the manager the next morning and was told they didn’t come to the hotel until the next day. We were only there for a week so we ended up leaving it as we just wanted to relax. Pool The sun bed wars were a joke and half the beds were broken, the floor was like an ice rink when wet and the pool became really murky by the afternoon as there is no where to shower your sun lotion off before getting into the pool. The kids pool had an orange/green scum mark around so we didn’t take our grandson in there. The steps down to the bottom pool were filthy and were overgrown with bushes making it hard to use them and they were slippier than the pool area. I never once seen anyone checking the PH levels and at night a man walked round the pool with a white bucket throwing white powder into the water without checking any levels. How TUI can post them as 3 stars is beyond me

Slippery flooring -dangerous, no accountability of staff or TUI, poor customer service

31 Aug 2025
WARNING You will have to get up at 6am to get a sun bed by the pool Yes floors around pools can be slippery but this flooring is next level around the pool area! - as mentioned numerous times by different customers on trip advisor Tiles are not fit for purpose Multiple falls witnessed around the pool area Apparently have not had any complaints of falls and injuries? Despite seeing this daily Nothing put in place extra as this clearly is an issue as i know this has been brought to their attention numerous times whilst i was there. Katerina staff nor Tui take any accountability for this nor care about peoples safety People seriously hurt themselves whilst i was there one young boy cracked his head open, another broke her spine in 2 places and another lady fell down the stairs and had severe bruising Staff rude and uninviting Paid €70 per room - which was not informed about prior The only good things about this holiday were being close to other things/ food places etc.. and the cleaning staff for our room was good

Feels like coming home.

30 Sep 2025
Katerina palace feels like coming back home! I have stayed here 3 times now and won't book anywhere different. The hotel is clean, friendly and the staff are great! I stay in the studio apartments which are well equipped and clean. The bar has a great selection of drinks and food. Love my afternoon pina colada round the pool! Can't wait to return next year in may and September.

Wonderful friendly modern hotel.

30 Sep 2025
We visited Zakynthos and Katerina Palace for the first time in September ; we joined friends whom have been going to Katrina Palace for many years and we weren’t disappointed. From the initial booking, all the way throughout the holiday, the staff could not have been more friendlier or do enough to make our stay special. The hotel is in a fabulous location and our room in the main hotel was stunning… the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in! The room was spacious, clean and modern; towels are changed every other day and the bins and bed are done every day. Breakfast was delicious and the choice of incredible restaurants nearby were endless. The pool was perfect for us and the pool area was kept clean at all times. We will definitely be heading back and if you’re looking for a family run , central, modern hotel, then this is for you.

Studios are in need of a little tlc and small kitchen space

30 Sep 2025
This was our second stay at this hotel, however we were in studios 1 this time (hotel side last year). The hotel side I would say is better. We were in studio 1 room 13 which was top floor and overlooking the main pool. I did notice that all the balconies whether studio or hotel do not have frosted glass so no privacy on them at all really. Our room was ok but had no hairdryer like advertised so had to contact reception who provided us with one. Also the fridge in our room has not been emptied on our arrival and had milk cheese and other things in. Several mornings we had no hot water in the shower which we reported daily and eventually it seemed to be ok. The bed was big and comfortable. The kitchen area we didn’t really use and the toaster was kept in the cupboard as there is no room for it on the counter with the kettle there so the kitchen space is really limited. Some of the reception staff never smiled but others were lovely. Despite the small issues the holiday was great and we do love it there but for me the hotel side is far better it’s just a shame you can’t seem to book that without breakfast as the times never suited us last year. You also do have the usual sun bed hoggers who are out at the crack of dawn and nothing is done about them reserving beds. I’m not a pool person so didn’t bother us but amusing to watch and something to be aware of if you are a pool person. Being on the top floor was a preference but tough with big cases and I think the hotel side has a lift. Location wise Katerina palace is great and central and is a good place to stay but moreso the hotel side
