Katikies Villa Santorini - The Leading Hotels

We just got back from a dream trip to Greece. We visited Athens and Crete before ending our trip with 4 days in Santorini at Katakies Pelagos House and could not have ended on a higher note! From the moment we arrived they made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We arrived a little early (before we could check into our room), but they held our bags for us while we enjoyed drinks at the on site restaurant and pool. Every single employee we interacted with during our stay went above and beyond. They were kind, welcoming and so helpful- from helping with luggages upon our arrival and departure, to recommending restaurants for dinners and even calling to get us reservations when needed, they took care of us. I think what struck us the most, though, was how much every employee there enjoyed the job and wanted to be there! That is a rare thing these days and speaks volumes on the environment at Katakies. Our room was beautiful and well supplied with any item we might need during our stay. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. We truly felt like we had our own personal oasis with a private jetted hot tub complete with panoramic views of the Caldera. The Pelagos location has 2 restaurants we visited a few times during our stay. The food was delicious every time. The breakfast was included with our stay and it was amazing! We also enjoyed using 1 of the 2 pools during our stay. The location is also a huge plus in our book! It is one of the first resorts along the famous Oia venue and the views are perfection. Seriously- we could not have ever asked for a better experience than what we had here. We cannot wait to go back and will absolutely stay at Katakies Santorini- Pelagos House again!

This was truly the most incredible hotel I have ever stayed at. The views speak for themselves, but the staff went above and beyond for us with everything. The reception staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the restaurant staff remembered our food and coffee orders from the day before, and the housekeeping cleaned the rooms the second we left. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, luxury toiletries provided in the bathroom. Beautiful pool with comfortable chairs to lay on. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Location in Oia was perfect - close to iconic blue domes, restaurants, bakeries, bars, etc. I have stayed in over 300 hotels and this is my new favorite. We will be back!!

Katikies is great. The staff are friendly, the views are amazing. Lots of stairs for those that have issues but worth it.

I don’t know other hotels but we were extremely happy with our junior suite. The jacuzzi was nice though could have been somewhat warmer given the temperature. The breakfast was very good, including the service. Only five tables fully indoors but others on the veranda by the main pool. The pool snd its loungers are first class and not so crowded, although perhaps due to the unusually chilly weather. We left some valuables in the room by accident and they were not taken by staff. Service overall is excellent. Probably best to take hotel car from airport as only 15 euro more than taxi and the directions to the hotel are provided and not clear on Maps. Drivers of taxis know the hotel, I suppose, but new travelers don’t know if that’s the case and worry that they might be taken to the wrong branch. Taxis. dont use meters do be sure to ask price before taking. It’s one of the first hotels from the Oia drop off spot, thus convenient and there is a porter to help with bags down the steps. Geoff helped a lot with dinner reservations, especially with Thalami main restaurant nearby, which was one my favorite meals ever.

At a fist glance on a map of Oia , Greece I found Katikies Santorini. Near Blue roofs+ Near Main street + Near top Resturants + View of Caldera. + Everything we wanted to do and see in Oia. But it was not until we got to our room the magic began. The staff from housekeeping up to managers through servers and maintenance completely blew us away. From the bell staff getting suit cases to the room caves down the path of white stairs and housekeeping bringing ice, extra towels etc, nothing for our conscience is missed. A place to stay is the rooms, the exterior and in the case of this Oia location a place that felt like home. The breakfast overlooking the caldera, juices, coffees, pastries, jellies and jams, made my taste buds sing. Eggs however you want them fried, scrambled and omelettes with a host of extra. The dinner as dusk happens is wine and beers with choice of lamb, seafood, fillets and or vegitarian dishes again made the heart sing. Turn down service and a manager on duty make wishes come true late into the evening. But do not take my word for the best place we have stayed at, come visit yourself.
