Very central, very clean, modern, but ……

Agree with the TA review summary, very well / centrally located, very clean and very friendly service by all staff. Our room ( a superior sea view ) had the essential amenities, but no mini bar, no face clothes or tissues. Air conditioning was very good as was their buffet breakfast. The staff on reception, especially Olga, were very good in helping us organise a private day tour in air conditioned minibus, which was exceptionally good. We did not have dinner here….preferred the outdoor restaurants on the water ( up the street ) or in the mall behind the the hotel. The room, the balcony & the bathroom are all very small for a superior classified room. Only enough room for 1 chair in a room for 2 people. Being 188cm tall, it was also very hard for me to use the toilet & the shower. This is a nice modern hotel …. Plenty of restaurants within 5 - 10 minute stroll. Most boat hires depart across the road….. but the superior classified room is over rated & expensive for what you get when compared to other Greek boutique / 4-5 star hotels Would stay here again, mainly for the location & friendly service.

I can only review my personal experience, the kefalonia grand is advertised as a 4 star hotel, i was flying solo so opted for a double room which i paid extra for a lateral sea view, on arrival i was greeted at reception and immediately asked for an extra 100 euros for my 10 night stay, I had to wait and hour until I could get to my room, I was briefly shown around and told i get a free small bottle of water per day, On closer inspection the room was bland, double bed, wonky tv, shower room and wardrobe which contained a tiny fridge and safe, light fittings were in disrepair and the shower room was disgusting, paint peeling of the ceiling and floor, mold stains in the shower and toilet, no considering this was supposed to be a 4 star grand luxury boutique hotel i expected a lot better, tea and coffee making facilities at least, Having complained to the receptionist I was told nothing else similar was available so I contacted the operator who just wasn't interested, The breakfast was fantastic as were the staff but I never dined there as a protest, Argostoli is a beautiful place but the hotel ruined it for me , the room had an air-conditioning unit but after 3 days I developed a raging cough and cold which further compounded my misery, having returned home i contacted the operator who is still investigating, the pictures show the issues and also the fact that the hotel isn't quite finished.

What a lovely restaurant

We visited the hotel restaurant for brunch and had a lovely meal. Everything was perfect and the service was great. The bathroom facilities were also of a high standard. I would recommend that you give this restaurant a try and have a great eating experience.
