There are some lovely aspects to this hotel and it's just a couple of things that stop it being a luxury hotel in my opinion which is why I have given it a four review. Check in was efficient and friendly. We were on the third floor with a sea view and we both agree it was the best view we have ever had from a hotel balcony. I would really recommend upgrading to a sea view as the balconies are roomy enough to sit on and enjoy the view before the sun sets. The room itself was super. Plenty of cupboard space, a comfortable bed and a fantastic walk in shower. My two observations here are that the hotel could consider offering shower caps and there was inconsistency with the towels. Some days we got bath sheets and other days bath towels. However, the towels were very good quality. The welcome food platter was a lovely touch as was the wine and little snacks. We also appreciated the fridge being stocked every day with soft drinks and beer. May I suggest that small bottles of wine would be a nice touch as not every one drinks beer. The cleaning of the room was one area where the hotel's standards fell. We varied from the cleaner forgetting to clean the room, no towels, dirty plates (from the welcoming platter that was put in our room) left for three days, cups and glasses not being cleaned or rinsed, dirty stains left on the sink etc. We didn't have one day without something small being wrong. Obviously, we did complain about the room not being cleaned and that was rectified immediately. With the towels we were lucky to catch a cleaner and get some. I was going to mention the standard of cleaning of the room when checking out but, and this is another small area the hotel let itself down in, the receptionist didn't even ask if we had a nice holiday. She took our room cards and then turned away so allowing no opportunity for feedback. The pool was lovely and cool. There are some areas that look tired e.g. some of the jets weren't working. I know for safety reasons people are not allowed in the pool before 10 am but that is a bit tough when the temperatures are so high. The loungers are really comfortable and yes, they can stain but we have towels to put on top of them. Neither of us were impressed with the beach area and it is definitely not a swimming beach. The path to the beach is not very safe to walk (my husband uses a walking stick) as some of the paving slabs are uneven or broken. I did think that the hotel could utilise the stunning coast line more by either using the jetty that is there and perhaps add ladders or even add a couple of floating jetties. I just feel it's an opportunity missed. The service to the loungers was very good and efficient and all the staff are to be commended here for being so cheerful despite the heat. The food was excellent. Plenty of choice of cold and hot dishes and cooked to really good standards. A suggestion would be to add fish to the breakfast selection eg salmon, mackerel. We both really like the Adult sitting area but agree with a previous reviewer, the doors weren't always open in the morning (between 7.30 and 8 am) and we always got the impression that the staff would have preferred it wasn't used first thing. This does not detract from the friendliness and efficiency of the staff though. There was some sort of a leak in the Adults area for the two weeks we were there which did prevent people sitting there. Again, a small area where maintenance should have been a priority. We also ate in the Greek and Asian restaurants. We did enjoy them but only did it once as the menu was the same each week. Perhaps put the menus on a two weekly cycle. The casual dining area up by the second pool is a great idea during the day if you didn't want to go to the main restaurant. Again very tasty and enjoyable food. The bar and outdoor sitting area were lovely. Overall the service was quite good but if you sat outside it could be a little slow. The hotel is in a very business type area next to a very busy main road. There is no where to stroll at night or no local shops or tavernas to visit. I did manage to find a rough walking track behind the beach that I used for morning exercise. Not great but at least I got a stretch. So for us, it's not a hotel we would consider revisiting because of its location. Corfu town is very easily accessible by bus or taxi. We did have a pleasant holiday and cannot fault the hotel for the serving staff and food, Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others but only for a week stay and only if people didn't want to go strolling in the evenings. In the hotel description it describes itself as being in 'acres' of land. I failed to see where these acres were.
