Wonderful hotel and location

The hotel is on beautiful 7 mile beach. The water was that wonderful Carribean blue and calm most of our stay. There was a wind out of the NW that created larger than normal waves. We could still enjoy the ocean, but Red Sail did not allow any water toys out on those windy days. The hotel is lovely and the staff were kind. Our room was on the third floor with 2 queen beds and a bathroom with a tub/shower combo, two sinks with plenty of room for our personal items, and toilet with a sliding door. The room has a safe, TV with all the key channels, and a nice balcony. A few waters are included each day, but the snacks and other beverages are NOT included. On site is a convenient quick grab store for drinks, coffee, breakfast items, lunch sandwiches, etc. open 7am-7pm. It is expensive as one would assume for the convenience. We had breakfast there each day-donuts, pastries, egg sandwiches, and yogurt bowls. One day I had a business breakfast at the restaurant on property. It was very well done as they had a buffet that had typical buffet food and a separate kids buffet. We ate at Ave (one of the 2 onsite restaurants) one evening and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was presented very nicely and tasted even better. Expensive, so a nice once or twice and/or a special occasion meal. There is a small adults only pool that is connected, but still separate from the main pool. The pool staff was readily available to assist with setting up our chairs by the pool or beach and other staff ready to take your drink and beverage orders. We also rented one of the cabanas closer (not on) to the beach, but near the pool. We had one with a TV. Unfortunately, the TV did not have the channels available in your room as I was excited to watch Match Madness in the cabana with the pool and ocean nearby. This is NOT an all inclusive resort, so be prepared for the added costs of drinks and food. I used the gym all but one day. Not a large gym, but plenty to stay in your routine. Dumbbells from 5-40lb, a Smith machine with a bar and plates up to 45lbs (not a lot of plates I’m sure for safety reasons), a few kettlebells, leg press machine, leg curl machines, bench press machine, a few other machines, several treadmills/stair steppers, a rowing machine, two bikes (not Peloton bikes unfortunately), yoga mats, and other workout items Finally, I had a spa treatment on our last day. The lady was great and did a nice job of asking what injuries I had and what I wanted from the massage. A 20% gratuity was added automatically. There is an incredible sauna that I used post massage along with a warm pool and cold plunge. In summary, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay again in the future.

Amazing!

Our recent stay at the Kimpton Seafire was nothing short of exceptional. We travel often and typically stay at brands like Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton, so our expectations were high. Yet somehow, this property continues to exceed them every single time. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. The entire staff is truly world-class genuine, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond in a way that feels natural. A special thank you to Iryna and staff at the front desk, who set the tone for our stay with professionalism and warmth. Harif was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making us feel at home. Akram took things to another level. his willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed. All of the staff managed to remember our names and greeted us accordingly. One of the most impressive touches is how the staff checks in daily via text message to make sure everything is perfect. Diosnel did an amazing job at checking in daily. It’s such a simple concept, but executed flawlessly. It makes you feel truly cared for without ever being intrusive. Traveling with a child can sometimes mean compromising on luxury, but not here. The Kimpton Seafire strikes that rare balance of being incredibly kid-friendly while still maintaining a high-end, sophisticated atmosphere. We genuinely had zero complaints. everything from the service to the overall experience was seamless. This is a place that understands hospitality at the highest level, and it shows in every interaction. We’ll absolutely be back.

A Four-Day Week

We had a marvelous time at the Kimpton. While the first day did not begin well (4 pm check-in that was not negotiated, lots of people in the pool, no place to wait for our room to be ready), it did end well. Without any request from us, we were upgraded from a King-size bed room to a bungalow. The bunagalow was amazing. We had a private entrance, private garden and yard, a full kitchen with all amenities, two TVs, one full bath and one half bath, a king-sized bed, and more. Additionally, the entire Kimpton staff were pleasant, helpful, and friendly. The Kimpton had a great restaurant, beach chairs and umbrellas with 2 towels available per customer, beach staff to set up your chair and umbrella, and food/drink service for the beach area. Throughout the week at the Kimpton, we enjoyed the cleanliness of the entire facility, the snack bar which was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the privacy which led to a low noise level. We did not wish to leave at the end of our stay and will definitely consider this place on our next visit.

Overall a disappointment

We had a large family trip to the Seafire Resort February 14 to 19 2026. We had a trip planned and scheduled to Jamaica which was cancelled when the resort we were to stay at was closed due to the hurricane. We had to quickly pivot to find a resort that could accommodate 10 adults and 6 children under 10 at relatively short notice. Moreover we wanted the place to be upscale with kids activities and condo/house style Accomodations so we would not all just be in separate hotel rooms. I had heard some very good things from a friend about the Seafire Resort and when I explored further I learned that they had large condos that would be great for us. I got a lovely reservationist on the phone who told me all about the our accommodations including the amazing rooftop area where we could have private family dinners! Despite this place being very significantly more than the resort in Jamaica, I was sold and booked our trip. I tried to take the avenue with the Seafire that we were like a corporate group and hoped we could schedule some fun private meals or a private chef as well as activities. I was assigned a concierge, Mandy Vigurs, who was to help me with my requests. Unfortunately almost right from the start there were many conversations that started with “so sorry we can’t do that”. For example I requested that on the day of our arrival we get a reservation at the Mexican restaurant at the resort. I was told that restaurant did not take reservations even though we were a large group. She suggested a nearby (walkable) casual beach front place, Bonny Moon. That dinner was an unmitigated disaster (not Mandy’s fault). I asked that we schedule a dinner on the rooftop of our building as was suggested by the reservationist. Again I was told so sorry that is against hotel policy and it was a mistake I was told that would be ok. Instead she suggested either do the dinner on the beach or in one of our rooms. Although again it was outrageously expensive we scheduled the private beach dinner which turned out to be outstanding. There is a beautiful breakfast buffet. Again unfortunately there are no reservations and there was no accommodating us as a big group. Even if we split up our party the wait for a table was outrageously long - as much as a half hour. Most of our party ended up ordering room service for breakfast- at our cost - even though the buffet was included in the price of the room. Our third night we had a reservation at Ave - the fine dining restaurant at the hotel. We walked in to be told by the maitre d that our party would be at two tables - a table for 10 for the adults and a table for 6 for the children. The host told me that was the request by the concierge, Mandy. I asked if we could all be seated together and was told that would be impossible so we left the restaurant. Some of our party went out to eat elsewhere and the rest when back to our room and had room service. The next day I was offered a meeting with the general manager, Yann Gillet and the resort manager. They apologized profusely for our less than stellar experience a vowed they would “wow” us before we were to leave in two days. On the last night of our stay we had another private beach dinner and we were sent to complimentary bottles of champagne. That was the only thing anyone at the resort did special for us. I would have thought that maybe when we went to check out they might have decided not to charge us the $850 set up fee for that dinner or something of the like. The resort was clean and comfortable. It is largely family friendly. It is however too many rooms, too many people for the overall facilities. We were definitely not “wowed” and have no plans to return.

Great Spa

We had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. Everything was perfect—from the service to the atmosphere—but the spa was truly a highlight. A huge thank you to Sidan for her professionalism and incredible attention to detail. She took the time to redo my gel nails flawlessly after they had been poorly done before my trip. My partner also had the best pedicure and foot massage he has ever experienced. Thank you, Sidan, for your dedication. We highly recommend her.
