Kipriotis Maris Suites

We have just returned from a week stay and overall had a good time. The staff were all very friendly and work hard , especially in the bar and restaurant areas. The food was nice and varied, although could have been a bit hotter. Evening entertainment wasn't the best , but the staff do their upmost to get you involved in activities during the day . As other reviews have stated, this is not a 5 star hotel ! Be prepared to have to pay 15 euros per night tourists tax as soon as you arrive , which is based on the hotels supposed 5 star rating . We stayed in a junior suite , which was comfortable, but dated and the bathroom wasn't up to a standard I would expect. Broken/missing tiles and shower screen that didn't meet the bath. Had to work hard not to flood the bathroom when taking a shower. Definitely not a 5 star room . Description of spa, gym and sauna also misleading as these are sited in a sister hotel which is close by . The weather was fantastic, which always helps . Pool is nice .

Went with a couple of friends to this hotel at the start of July! The rooms were basic but comfortable and the food was ok, there was times when it was lukewarm but me and my friends managed to find something to eat each day different options most days and good variety. The pool area could get busy and we managed to get a sunbed each day but we did have to get up early to guarantee this and the sun-beds didn’t always work well with some of them falling backwards/not been able to put them in properly which could cause a hazard and injury if guests aren’t careful. The bar staff were friendly and even when the bar was busy in an evening they still remained positive and we managed to get drinks even if we had to wait some time! The one thing that made this holiday was the entertainment team they always provided things to do in the day and evening and we felt welcomed by them from our first night! They were all so great and always made the effort to come and say hi and chat when seeing us around the hotel and pool they even changed karaoke night so me and my friends could do it before we left! We loved them and they are a great group of people! The other thing to note is that taxis from the centre of Kos to the hotel can be a long wait me and my friend had to wait almost an hour at the taxi rank for a taxi to be able to come and even when we tried ringing to book a taxi got told to just wait at the taxi rank in the queue. The hotel reception does provide a shuttle bus to Kos town centre if you ask which was about 15 euros for the 3 of us and the taxi back was about 10 euros. Even though it’s probably not a 5 star hotel me and my friends still had a lovely stay and I would come again! We had a lovely stay was made to feel so welcomed by the majority of staff who worked there!

One of the most beautiful accommodation experiences we’ve ever had! What makes this hotel stand out is its unmatched hospitality. The staff make you feel comfortable right away, as if you’re staying at friends’ house who take care of you in every possible way. I feel like the reviews of this hotel are very mixed and when reading them before arriving at the hotel I was abit apprehensive due to seeing more negative than positive reviews. I personally do not have many complaints about this hotel at all. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Bar staff work very hard as well as restaurant staff and especially when they are in such an intense environment with so many people around they really are a credit to the hotel. There are ants about. If you spill a drink especially a cocktail then they will come running however is this not expected of a foreign country ? They personally didn’t bother us. It’s nature We had no complaints about the food. There were options and variety. We especially liked the breakfast as we had a full English everyday. If you’re expecting burgers , chips and pizza every day then this is not the hotel for you. There is variety and we like trying new dishes but the dishes aren’t typical English cuisine so I can see why many don’t like the food however we like trying different things and there was always options. Pool was nice and never overcrowded and there was always some sort of activity in the pool during the day which was nice to break up the time. We also liked not being in the centre of Kos but it was nice to have the option to travel into the town and the harbour if we wanted to. Only complaint we had was that taxis were difficult to get from the hotel. When we asked reception they would order it but sometimes would take over an hour for the ride to be accepted. This didn’t bother us in the end as we found the e scooters which were located outside of the hotel. We could e scooter into Kos in just under 10 minutes and would cost us around 8 euros. These scooters were readily available during any time of day too so we gave up on taxis in the end. Beach was nice although more pebbly than sandy. The entertainment we would describe as typical all inclusive entertainment. Very cheesy but also a laugh and different every night. I would agree that this hotel isn’t 5 stars. There could be more attention to detail such as bottled water every day, more pools to choose from and maybe some specific cuisine restaurants located on site to qualify as 5 stars however it is a good 4 star hotel in my opinion and we really enjoyed the holiday overall and would recommend it.

This is no way a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 star, we were located in the annex and it was a uphill walk to get there which was not the best, no water from the kitchen tap so had to always use bathroom tap. Food was ok but luke warm at times, one evening there were flies on the meat so we gave it a miss, some food seemed undercooked and the breakfast was poor. The cocktails were hit and miss depending on which bar staff made it, the pool only opens at 1000 till 1800 which is bizarre in such a hot climate. Pool sunbeds are a accident waiting yo happen, alot of them broke with bolts hanging off, alot of trip hazards around the hotel as well. Thr beach sunbeds are shocking, dirty and weathered, nothing like the photos, the beach snack bar is an old burger van, we noticed ants everywhere, even in the bed, overall very dissapointed as we booked this as it said 5 star but that is so misleading. The entertainment staff seemed very good but reception staff seemed very disintested and just glazed over if they were asked anything, were always told come back tomorrow. Its a bit like a haven or butlins and no way a 5 star hotel.
