what an amazing hotel this is. We arrived late Monday night on the 14th July. The hotel reception staff were all waiting on hand to greet us. Even chef Nkan was there with his personalised menu for our 2 week stay as my wife is allergic to wheat. Every single member of staff knew our names and room number. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We regularly ordered room service via the WhatsApp front desk service and we always got an immediate response. We originally had booked the premier valley suite, but after a few days realised this room didn't get any sun in the outside are so we asked to swap and was given the option to stay in various rooms until we found one we liked. Luckily the fist room we moved to (room 104) overlooking the front of the jungle was perfect for us. It had all day sun outside & also to pool was warm enough to use. We booked a romantic dinner and also the floating lunch. We highly recommend you try this. Well worth the money. Talking of money the hotel considering its 5* is very reasonably priced. If you want to plan some activities in Ubud, just tell the front desk and they can help plan your itinerary. they will suggest places to go & organise a driver for you. The hotel drivers speak perfect English and are more than happy to accompany you while you explore. The rooms where spotless. They are cleaned every morning & then in the evening they turn down the bed, close the curtains, change the towels and re stock the mini bar & complementary fruit & cookies. The room comes with everything you can need including things you don't expect. We had plug converters, mosquito spray for the room & also mosquito body spray. the inside & outside showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner & body wash. We had an Iron & Ironing board. Lots of towels, We had 6 towels each, plus night gowns plus dressing downs & slippers. There's complimentary fruit & cookies that are restocked every day. There are also free activities. Yoga every morning at 7am and then around 2pm other activities such as how to write Balinese, how to make Balinese herbal drinks. In the evenings a couple of times a week there was Balinese dancing where you are encouraged to join in. I also got involved in helping out with the Balinese bamboo xylophone, there are a few of these dotted around the hotel. Our stay was magical and it was a real hard goodbye to the staff who had looked after us so well. We cant wait to come back. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough.
