A bit of luxury at the end of a wonderful cruise

This hotel is amazing. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis Breakfasts were superb. In the main restaurant the choice of food was unbelievable. At the other breakfast venue, by the sea, there was less choice but there was still plenty and of good quality, plus the location was gorgeous. The private beaches are sandy with comfortable loungers and the opportunity to order drinks from your sunbed. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and nearby marina. The staff were very helpful. The evening entertainment was really good - better quality than many of the hotels we have visited. The hotel's location means it is a short walk to a bus stop to catch a bus into Corfu town or along to Gouvia. 2 Euros, 50 for the fare. The buses run every 20 mins. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle bus into Corfu town each morning at 9.30. It's possible to walk into Kontokali for dinner.

Kontokali resort is really an outstanding place,it is welcoming ,plite with an excellent service. rooms are pampering , and it was for us a vacation to remember. thank you kontokali.

There are better places on the island for the money. If you want 5 star, you won’t get it here.

This was a disappointing stay. Their service was not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel by any means. The rooms were grubby and dated and the sea view was obstructed by a massive tree. Also your rooms are not bungalows. They are just first floor rooms. We did raise our concerns but was offered a room that was completely impractical. The quality of the food was great though, although the buffet was an odd arrangement, not sure how I can have identical meals on 2 days and have a 15 Euro difference but we move. The swimming pool was also a little murky. All in all and average stay but not worth the price tag and certainly not a 5 star experience.

My husband and I spent a week here in September. The location is stunning with views across the sea to the rugged Albanian coast. The beach is clean and access to the sea is safe and effortless. The pool is delightful and surrounded by tall cedars and gardens and again with far reaching views. There was no problem in finding sun loungers on the beach but you have to be early if you like a shady one around the pool! Breakfasts were excellent with a wide and varied choice. This hotel feels well managed and maintained with a good standard of cleanliness. We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine in our room and the next day with a welcome note and flowers. It was my husband’s birthday whilst we were there, but I hadn’t mentioned it to the hotel. It was charming therefore to find a bottle of Prosecco and a beautifully iced birthday plate of Greek pastries and cakes. A really thoughtful gesture which we greatly appreciated. All the staff in reception and in the restaurant were polite and charming. We took advantage of the courtesy bus into Corfu old town and appreciated the good choice of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The only slight niggle for me was that in our room (823) there was no hanging space for long garments. It was fine for short items or ones that can be folded over a hanger, but for my midi- and full length dresses it was hopeless! I had to lay them out on the spare bed sofa. Apart from that, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would have a second stay here, something we rarely do.
