Kuramathi Maldives

Just returned from our first visit to Kuramathi and what an amazing resort this is - couldn't fault anything. The island is breathtaking and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay feel so special. Thanks to everyone who looked after us from the welcome on arrival, the teams in the bars and restaurants, the excursion team who took us to see turtles and manta rays, the watersports team who gave us amazing adrenaline rushes and of course the 100s who work relentlessly to maintain the special piece of paradise and ensure everything is just perfect. I have no doubt we will be back !

My family and i returned to Kuramathi for our 5th visit and as always everything was perfect. We flew direct with BA which was 10hrs from Heathrow to Male .We chose seaplane transfers and the new seaplane lounge is really nice and is cool with AC. There is complimentary tea, coffee, juices and pastries. There are also showers available to use which are very clean and towels and shower gel as well. Seaplane to Kuramathi is around 20 minutes and is great to see other Islands from above. Check in was smooth and efficient as usual with a cold towel and a small welcoming juice. We had a 2 bed beach house on the Lagoon side, these are great for families, spacious and very clean with balconies with views of the sea. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day to a very high standard by Nashid . He was so hard working , kind, friendly and polite and was a pleasure to talk to every day. He also decorated our bed with the most amazing decorations a few times which was amazing and surprised our daughters with beautiful room decorations on a few occassions too. We had breakfast everyday at Farivalhu, great selection of food, Omelettes freshly cooked to order, lots of fruit, pastries, breads, smoked salmon and so much more. One of the staff Nafiu we know from previous visits is always so friendly and attentative and also Sifaan who chatted and kept our coffee topped up. Select all Inclusive in our opinion is the best option to dine at all the restaurants. All restaurants are a very high standard of food and service. Our favourites were Island BBQ with Rizuvam cooking the best steak diane and crepe suzette on the station at our table. The Reef and The Palm are also excellent. The Island coffee shop is great for lunch and the food is so tasty . The bars are a wonderful place to stop off for a cocktail or 2 whether exploring the island or taking in paradise. Our favourite is the Fung Bar. Fairooz, our favourite barman/waiter is such a credit to the island and keeps the cocktails flowing. He always makes time to chat and we enjoy listening about his home life and Maldivian traditions. Now onto the dive centre. I recently passed my Padi OW so booked to dive on my second day. My guide / instructor Was Wasym. I was really nervous and didn't know what to expect but Wasym is so calming and confident this made me feel better. As soon as we jumped off the boat and we went down I instantly felt relaxed. Wasym is always making sure you are ok and is an absolute natural in the water. It wasn't long before we saw 7 Eagle rays and dived alongside them. 2nd day we saw a turtle, sharks and more Eagle rays . I did 7 dives and saw so much it was amazing. I cannot recommend the diving here enough, the staff at the centre are so helpful and friendly. The things you will see will stay with you forever. Another amazing holiday on Kuramathi and as always cannot recommend this Island enough. The staff, food , diving, snorkelling is 110% thank you Kuramathi, we hope to visit as soon as we can.

I’d like to give my feedback for the house keeping team of supervisor Iqbal with a special compliment to Samir. They deliver an outstanding performance. We are now coming to Kuramathi for the second year in a row and they manage to produces high quality work with a great attention to detail. We celebrate the birthday of two family members and every time they manage to make the day extra special. Samir managed to keep the rooms tidy, clean and well organised in a short period of time. Which is not always an easy task when 2 kids mess it up all the time. But most of all they were friendly anytime and happy to help in case needed.
