REEAAN’s work is absolutely impeccable—my room was always spotlessly clean, tidy and refreshed with fresh linens every single day. What’s more, REEAAN is incredibly friendly and attentive, with a warm smile every time we met, making our stay feel so welcoming and comfortable. Thank you for the outstanding service, REEAAN! We stayed for 10 days at Kuramathi and it exceeded our expectations. The island and the water is stunning! We arrived via speed boat transfer which was easy and just over an hour each way. The island never felt busy or overcrowded. The service at the restaurants and bars 10/10- the staff can not do enough for you. The island coffee shop was our favourite spot each day for an iced latte. I would also recommend the choco coco drink too! You can also get the coconuts here in the late morning. I was lucky enough to see the men collecting these from the trees one morning and they kindly gave me a fresh one. Clean beach/pool towels daily to your room. Complimentary soft drinks and beer in the mini fridge. Our room was cleaned twice daily- in the evening a turn down service. All just lovely touches and makes you feel spoilt. The food and all the restaurants are outstanding! Recommend all inclusive select for this. You do need to book ahead as they get booked up quickly (our first 5 nights were booked already prior to our arrival). Our favourite restaurant was the French one, La Belle Vie, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, setting is perfect and the food so tasty! Also to mention that Inguru for lunch is a must (the view in the day time). Icecream at the palm is amazing! The house reef is great- we saw lots of reef sharks, colourful fish and different sting rays. Sadly no turtles. Would recommend bringing swimming shoes. We rented a kayak which was good fun. We did go on the dolphin safari but sadly didn’t not spot any dolphins. We were sad to leave and will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful island, outstanding food and friendly staff – Select All Inclusive is a real game changer

We had a wonderful stay at Kuramathi and honestly have almost nothing negative to say. The island itself is absolutely beautiful and extremely well maintained. You can really see how much care and effort goes into keeping everything in good condition. The food quality is very good. From our experience, the Select All Inclusive (SI) package is a real game changer. With the standard All Inclusive, you mainly rely on the buffet restaurant, which we tried on a previous stay. While the buffet is good, after two weeks it can become repetitive – which is quite normal for buffet dining, especially if you are not used to Maldivian-style cuisine every day. This time, the SI package made a huge difference for us. Being able to use all the à la carte restaurants elevated the entire holiday. The variety and quality of the food were excellent, and each restaurant offered something different, making dining a real highlight rather than just a necessity. We spent all of our lunches at Inguru, which we can highly recommend. The restaurant is located directly on the lagoon side and offers a beautiful sea view, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed midday meal. The service in the à la carte restaurants was consistently excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and professional. A special mention goes to Kritika, whom we mostly met during lunch at Inguru – her warm personality and genuine friendliness really stood out and made our visits especially pleasant. Kuramathi is also fantastic for snorkeling and diving. What we especially appreciated is that it is equally well suited for guests who may feel a bit hesitant about going into the water. You don’t actually need to swim or snorkel to see marine life. Even from the overwater villas or while sitting on the jetty, you can regularly watch reef sharks swimming by. With a bit of luck, manta rays even come very close to the shore – something we were fortunate enough to experience during a previous stay. If there is one small aspect worth mentioning, it would be that some of the accommodations, including the overwater villas, are starting to show signs of age. They are still very comfortable and beautiful, but a light refresh in certain areas would elevate them even further. Overall, Kuramathi offers a beautiful island, great atmosphere, excellent food (especially with SI), and genuinely kind and dedicated staff. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

This is our paradise island- it has a happy friendly atmosphere with beautiful colourful planting, with romantic night-time lighting of the coral pathways , reliable buggy transport the length of the mile-long island, beautiful buildings, but most of all the excellent food in the 9 restaurants, and of course the huge range of cocktails in the bars. There is a wide choice of accommodation on land or over water, all superbly furnished. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and there is a happy vibe. Evening entertainment is supplied by a variety of musical groups, for dancing or just watching. We have been returning (9 visits) and have already booked for 2027. Guaranteed sunshine azure seas for diving or watersports and 30°c during the winter months. Choose direct flights with Virgin or BA, or one stop with Air Sri Lanka. Ayubowan.
