I enjoyed my stay here. My room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. I had two dinners at the hotel's restaurant, which were both excellent. (I wrote a separate review for Restaurant Le Pitaya.) The hotel is across from the Creole Village, with its many shops and restaurants. I enjoyed my hotel's pool. There is a lovely garden path to the pool. The pool was refreshing, spacious and not too crowded. There is a nice mural on the wall titled "The Return of the Pink Sunset" by Ruben Carrasco, 2023. In the lobby, they have a video of him painting the mural. I did have one problem, though. As I was getting ready to go to sleep, I turned on the lamp next to my bed and walked to the entrance door to shut off all of the other lights in my room. There were three switches. The one on the left worked. The one on the right worked. But the one in the centre did not. No matter what I did, I could not turn the bedroom lights off. If I pulled out the key card from the slot, then all of the electricity in my room would shut off and I would have no lights whatsoever, nor any AC. I called the front desk. It was 11 p.m. and the night clerk came. He saw the problem, but since the technicians had gone home for the day, no one could come until the next day. He offered me another room, but I did not want to switch late at night. I opened the curtains and pulled out the key card. I had enough light to see where the bed was and it wasn't too warm without the AC. In the morning, the technician came but could not fix it. He would need to contact the power company. I was told to pack my things and was moved to a nearby room. The lights worked fine in the new room!
