La Vela…Bella❤️ Stayed for 6 nights with friends An amazing experience, staff are simply the best, attentive, courteous, happy & very friendly, nothing was a bother to ask, especially, John Paul, you are brilliant at customer service, you are a people’s person, great with all and also the children, did an amazing job whilst it was Easter Sunday 🐇🐣🐥🙏when the Easter bunny came to visit the children ( games & fun for the kids) while at breakfast, also to all the staff that participated there too. Other front end staff Mod, ( training) but fabulous skills with people & Alexander also good luck to you both in the next chapter in your journeys. Sarah & Pang( Bella) you are an asset to La Vela, loved your bubbly personality, as with Pang great at your jobs, always happy to chat and fabulous service, plus Jhoy thank you for the chats throughout our stay, AOD hard working, great service too throughout our stay. Girls in the Cotton Cafe, Kate, Chompoo, Natalie, big thank you loved that I could have a decaf & almond milk coffee, great service all. Stayed in a swim up room, great room size, love love the shower, thick fluffy white towels, the most massive bed & sooo comfy, great room cleaning, food is amazing, always tasty great presentation by the chefs different to other hotels. Huge spread at brekky, so much to like, the best danish style pastries & croissants ( made with real butter) AMAZING & fresh. The app that is used by La Vela brilliant to contact all departments, but also like us loved going to ask for help at reception… I do recommend a stay at La Vela fabulous experience, but also about your staff, an experience to remember. La Vela Up Grade

Our holiday started with us staying at La Flora for only two nights. Coming back from breakfast, we found a letter under our door offering us an upgrade to La Vela, La Flora's sister resort. The sweetener was all-inclusive food and drink and a golf buggy to ferry my wife and I to and from breakfast, lunch and dinner venues. My wife is unable to walk the long distances between our room and the above-mentioned venues. She also has trouble negotiating stairs, as do I. And so we moved from La Flora to La Vela. La Vela is very nice indeed, spread over a largish area with children and adults only areas. The staff and trainees are wonderful, very friendly and helpful and always with a smile on their face. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable.

Fantastic hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we are very pleased to say it’s still as good as we remembered. We had a family room a for two adults and one 13 year old and this was perfect in the way the room splits and very spacious. Also the rooms are modern with good WiFi. The pools are clean and well maintained. We liked staying at the top pool during the day to relax and in the late afternoon going down to the pool bar for cocktails and a swim. Food at the hotel is very good but more expensive than the street restaurant however this is to be expected. We had the lobster and steak buffet and this is a must as the buffet has some much choice I think we had a five course meal it was so good. I took advantage of the hotel bike trip to the local waterfalls and I can say it was one of the best trips I did on the complete holiday and Chon the hotel guide for the trip was fantastic. He explained how long we had on the bike route, guided me through the jungle / forest to each of the waterfalls pointing out the wildlife as we went along the route making sure we got loads of great photos.

My fiance and I decided that we would go back to Khaolak next year because of this hotel. This is probably the best reception service we've had in years. The reception team deserves a round of applause for a job well done - saw them working in the morning until late night but still have the biggest smiles. They also had an application that made it easier for us to communicate our requests to them. The buggy service to the market was also a plus, with really friendly drivers. The rooms however, require renovation (which they told me they have plans for during the low season). So we had to change rooms, but again, this was handled professionally. Thanks to Jane and Kaem at the reception. The beds were comfortable, the room was cleaned to my liking, and the room attendant was really friendly. The buffet at the dinner restaurant was worth the money, but some of the staff could not understand basic English which made it difficult to communicate, especially with someone with dietary requirements like my fiance. Sarah and Pang were attentive and friendly though. The bartenders made amazing cocktails! Breakfast choices had plenty of options and was probably the best breakfast in Thailand, but the chefs could use service training - a lot of them were not so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Miss Aya for your amazing service and for taking care of us, you ARE the standard. I hope you get the recognition you deserve as you truly are a special gem. See you La Vela in 2026! Thank you for an amazing stay.
