We had a lovely holiday at this hotel and would happily return. While there are a few areas that could be improved, the overall experience was very positive. Here’s a breakdown of our stay: Highlights of Our Stay: Breathtaking Location: The hotel is set in a truly stunning part of the island, surrounded by rolling hills and views of a nearby volcano. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with swaying palm trees, vibrant gardens, and well-kept pathways that make every stroll feel like a walk through paradise. Scenic Beach Walks: One of our favourite parts of the trip was the morning walk along the beach to Playa Blanca. The route is pedestrianized and peaceful, with lovely sea views and a relaxed atmosphere. It became a daily ritual for me and my wife – a perfect way to start each day. Excellent Room Arrangement: Traveling as a group of six, we requested rooms close together and were delighted that the hotel was able to accommodate us. It made coordinating plans and spending time together so much easier and more enjoyable. Charming Bungalow-Style Accommodation: Instead of a typical high-rise hotel block, the rooms are set in bungalow-style buildings that offer a more private and relaxed feel. Being slightly set back from the pool area added to the sense of tranquility. Private Sun Loungers: Each room had its own sun loungers on the balcony, which was a fantastic touch. It gave us the option to sunbathe in peace without needing to head to the pool – ideal for quiet afternoons with a book or a nap in the sun. Spacious and Spotless Rooms: The rooms were generously sized and kept immaculately clean. Housekeeping came daily, and we always had fresh towels available. It’s clear the staff take pride in maintaining high standards. Delicious and Fresh Food: The meals were consistently tasty, hot, and well-prepared. While the selection wasn’t vast (understandable for a smaller hotel), there was always enough variety. Even our daughter, who’s a fussy eater, found something she liked every day. The desserts were a real highlight – beautifully presented and full of flavour. Outstanding Breakfast: Breakfast was a real treat, with a wide array of pastries, fresh fruit, and hot options. The freshly made omelettes and proper sausages were especially appreciated – a rare find in many holiday destinations! Top-Notch All-Inclusive Drinks: The drinks offering was excellent. All spirits were local, which suited us perfectly, and the cocktails were freshly made to order – no pre-mixed dispensers here! The self-serve beer tap was a great touch, and unlimited access to soft drinks and water kept everyone happy and hydrated. Freshly Made Snacks: The snack bar served hot food made to order, including burgers, hotdogs, and chips. This approach ensured everything was fresh and hygienic, and helped reduce food waste – a thoughtful and practical system. Stress-Free Sunbathing: One of the biggest pluses was the lack of “sunbed wars.” Although the hotel advises against reserving beds before 10am, we found that even by 9:30am, we could easily get six loungers together. Staff were proactive in discouraging early towel placement, which helped keep things fair and relaxed for everyone. Areas for improvement: Wi-Fi Coverage: The Wi-Fi signal was only available in the reception area, with no coverage in the rooms. While I personally didn’t mind disconnecting, it proved challenging with four teenagers in tow. In today’s connected world, reliable in-room Wi-Fi is almost expected, especially for families with older children or guests needing to stay in touch. Drinking Water Policy: On arrival, we were provided with a complimentary bottle of water, which was appreciated. However, we were surprised to find that additional bottles were chargeable. For an all-inclusive hotel, it would be more guest-friendly to offer daily replenishment of drinking water, especially in a warm climate where hydration is key. Evening Entertainment: The entertainment program was fairly basic. While bingo and quizzes were enjoyable, the live music acts were inconsistent in quality. Compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at, the evening offerings felt underdeveloped. A more varied and professionally curated entertainment schedule could really elevate the guest experience. Towel Charges: A €10 deposit per person for pool towels is understandable and common practice. However, charging an additional €1 per person to exchange towels daily felt excessive. Most all-inclusive resorts include daily towel changes as part of the package. This policy may discourage guests from maintaining hygiene or comfort, especially during longer stays. Games Room Costs: The pool table in the games room was a hit with our children, but each game cost €2. Given the overall cost of staying at the hotel, it felt a bit unreasonable to have to pay extra for basic recreational activities. Including access to such amenities in the all-inclusive package would be a welcome improvement. Final Thoughts: This hotel offers a peaceful, scenic retreat with great food and friendly service. While a few small changes could enhance the experience, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others looking for a relaxing break.

Today is our last day- I’m writing this review whilst sat at the pool. We have had the loveliest holiday- I would 100% recommend this hotel. ROOMS- amazing little suites, cleaned daily, no bugs, comfy beds, icy air con. Loved the homely feel of them. We had room 420 so out of the way of the main complex. Love it! POOLS- cold! Deffo cold. But you warm up after a minute. Managed to get 3 beds together every day after 10am - no sun bed wars here! FOOD-the best all inclusive food we’ve ever had. Spoilt for choice at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Previous reviews said they couldn’t find anything to eat- you must be a seriously fussy eater. Homemade pizzas, pastas, every type of meat imaginable (veal & rabbit!!!), lots of different types of fish each night, the most delicious salads and deserts. We are going to miss eating so well!! DRINKS- also excellent, every meal has had multiple glasses of fizz with it. Lots of options for the kids too. STAFF- impeccable. 5 stars! Everyone we’ve met has been a delight and so hard working. Special shout out to Juan on reception who was lovely and all of the pool bar staff who work tirelessly. We’ve had a lovely holiday- yes the hotel is away from the main resort but taxis are very easily available and only €5. We loved the quieter element of the hotel. As a family we love going to Lanzarote, the weather's not too hot and the wind is always a welcome bonus. We've been numerous times to the island but never to playa Blanca, my daughter chose this hotel (11 at the time) after extensive research, we weren't disappointed, the hotel is really pleasant, we usually go to larger resort sized hotels but this beat them. The rooms are really well laid out they're pods of two suites with their own terraces and sunloungers, they're separated from each other with quite a generous amount of space, you don't feel on top of each other, they're all on one level too so never got room envy 😁, there are upper levels suites but they're on the back row of the hotel. The pool area is really nice, plenty of sun beds, no sunbed wars, could always get beds (4 of us), umbrellas could be sparse, but ask the lifeguard and he'd do his best 👍. Pools are 'cool' but all the better for it, the larger is slightly salt water which was nice, no sore eyes. My son loved the football pitch, volleyball court etc as most evening all the younger children congregated there and entertained themselves, he made many friends! The pool bar was well situated good selection of soft drinks throughout the day. Food was very good we thought, lots of hot options, good salad bar, good selection of meats and cheeses and the drinks were good. Beer on tap was Amstel, wines on tap were perfectly drinkable. Hotel is situated at the foot of Montana roja, and has sea views from the eating area, very pleasant, it is slightly further out of the resort centre than we usually book, but a 10 min walk got you to the beach and a 4 euro taxi got you to playa Blanca. Montana roja takes 30 min or so to walk up to the top in the morning (usually cloudy and cooler) and definitely worth the walk for the views. In shot I would recommend the hotel, staff were attentive, cleaners were relentless around the communal areas, food was good and the pools excellent. I'm pretty fussy and didn't have a care in the world 👍

Went on a family trip. 9 of us. Ages from 71 (me) to 7. Knew exactly what we were going to get by on line reviews etc. We knew that this is not a 4 star hotel so if you are expecting top class food , waiter and table service etc forget it - this isn't for you. However if you are looking for a very pleasant and happy time - especially with kids - it is. Food/drinks etc all fine without being exceptional - a good range of choices for all. Lots of sunbeds. I personally found the pools a little cool but you can try telling that to my 3 grandkids (11,10 ,and 7) who were never out of them - they had tons of fun and made some friends as well - fabulous. Liked the pool bar ( entertainment was a bit hit or miss) - kids loved bingo, quizzes etc. In the evening the front bar overlooking Fuerteventura was pleasant. Our apartment/bungalow was nice and perfectly adequate - no beasties - plenty of phone plugs - nowhere on the site was much of a walk to the pool. The place is about (for me and my partner) about a 20 min walk - but taxis are easy to get and cheap - order from reception. The hard working staff throughout were very pleasant and helpful. Would I recommend to others - definitely, especially those with younger families - that is what the place is designed for. Would I and my partner go again on our own - probably not - its for the younger generation. Have I any criticisms - none - except that sun brolleys need replacing and many more are needed, especially with so many young kids around. To conclude - a very nice weeks holiday - kids had lots of fun - the adults had a good time - so thanks to all at the Labranda Allyssa. By the way, the views were stunning.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was truly underwhelming. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The front desk manager - Simone, so rude that on the last day was absolutely incredibly rude and raised her voice throwing the clipboard in front of us. The courtesy room you can book for £20 if you want to change and have a shower before your flight back is normally for 1 hr - this is what they advise and this is what I have written in an email before our holiday but we had it booked and after 30 min they called and forced us to get out as apparently the slot is for 30 min - this is what Simone the front desk manager decided (probably to punish us for complaining about the food). I raised the concern to the hotel - I have sent a formal complaint and they did not bother to even reply and apologise. They don't care! The biggest concern is the food and hygiene in the restaurant (if you can call that a restaurant). Honestly if you care about your family, please book another hotel in the area as there are lovely hotels I usually don’t mind simple meals when traveling, but the food at this hotel was absolutely awful. It was honestly the worst part of the entire stay. Breakfast- better to skip it. The eggs were rubbery, the sausages tasted like they’d been sitting out for hours, and the fruit was either unripe or mushy. Even the coffee was barely drinkable — weak, lukewarm, and the coffee machines out of order most of the time The dinner, lunch - food not eatable: cold, meat either too dry or raw. I had no choices to feed my child. It felt like the hotel was cutting every possible corner with the food. Definitely not what you expect for the price we paid. If you care at all about decent meals during your stay, look elsewhere. We ended up eating out every day just to avoid getting sick. What was even more concerning was the hygiene. The table hadn’t been properly cleaned — there were crumbs and greasy smudges on the surface. The cutlery looked like it had been wiped down rather than washed. The staff in the restaurant had very dirty uniforms, absolutely disgusting. The chairs, tables, all dirty! I feel sick when I remember. The baby high chairs were not cleaned and absolutely shocking - the photos are saying everything. Avoid this hotel if you care about decent food and basic cleanliness.
