We had a wonderful family holiday at this hotel and felt it was excellent value for money considering what we paid for a family of 5. Some of our main thoughts in no particular order: This is not a 5* hotel; It is a 4* at best. As an English family, it was noticeable that we were in the minority. For us this was a positive. The family room we were in was spacious, clean and comfortable although, despite numerous requests, it was never set up properly as a 5 bed. Luckily our 3 year old was still small enough to sleep with us. Which leads on to the staff: we did not find them particularly helpful or cheerful. We have experienced FAR better entertainment teams at other hotels. The food in main restaurant was good but not excellent and tended to be repetitive even though we only stayed a week. There is no table service at all which is another reason this is not a 5* hotel. The pool area is compact and the slides are tame, but our kids enjoyed it. It was fairly easy to get sun loungers poolside without needing to get up early. Having said that, there was no chance of getting a sun lounger in the areas by the sea without getting up early and leaving your towels out to 'reserve' them. The evening entertainment was very Euro/Turkish focused and despite signs being out, tables were always reserved by bags being left on tables. The staff had no interest in policing their own 'no reserving tables' policy. We felt this was a theme of the hotel: disinterested staff. I would hate to think that the only way to get good service would be to tip them, but then I am English and have a basic expectation of good service without being charged extra for it. The location is beautiful and the grounds were kept very nicely. It was nice being outside of Marmaris, but still close enough to walk there easily.

Big Disappointment

We visited at the start of the uk summer holidays and I’ll start with the pros Location, stunning Deserts in restaurant were the best we’ve had in a long time, great choice Air con worked well in rooms Beach/paving access to sea was great if you don’t like sand Room sizes/set up were fantastic for a family with older children as there are two bathrooms Slides operating times were generous Now on to the cons which were all reasons I’d never go back to this hotel Constant smell of sewage in our room that no amount of opening doors would shift. We were in garden rooms well away from the main hotel. Access to the room was through the sliding doors which didn’t seem particularly secure to me. Housekeeping (lack of it I should say) was shocking. Came in shut the curtains and that was it, floor still sandy bed and towels not changed. Young housekeeping team usually sat together on phones when we passed them Pool staff were shockingly rude and the closing time for the pools were early. These were not the lifeguards, who were lovely but the pool maintenance staff. I’ve never been shouted at before but here we were spoken to very rudely One of the snack bar staff (overlooking the sea) was so rude, we avoided him like the plague. Drinks were so bad, cocktails all syrups or pre-made and served mostly in paper cups No iced coffee No ayran (Really???) No iced tea (again really???) Finally the sneaky trick of turning the air con off in communal areas to get people to leave was the final straw. We felt like cattle being herded from place to place. To sum up, old and tired hotel, unprofessional staff and poor AI offerings. Not a 5* hotel by anyone’s stretch of the imagination. One of the few Turkish hotels that I wound never go back to

3* Bungalow Room in a pleasant hotel.

Great location. Amazing friendly helpful staff. All inclusive varied. Our bungalow room not a 5* though definitely 3* Really dated quite old. I didnt like the fact that the white towels were so old they almost looked grey. Air con made noise but No experience of coolness in the room when on. Twin room just two small. Cleaners need to pull out bed and clean floor surface properly. One thing for sure if you called for help or needed assistance hotel staff willing to help. I would visit marmaris again but i wouldnt rush back to la branda Mares until updates happen.

An old hotel; I think the company went bankrupt two years ago. The waiters at the pool bar and the reception don’t smile — they’re all busy on their phones. ( some one called " fuday " in the reception bar he is very rude ) i cant see any pro stuff all of them they are kids 18y old or maybe less The food is cold and no option , and there’s no fish unless you pay 10 euros at the à la carte restaurant. I don’t recommend visiting it. was there late october look like they empting freedges outside hotel : all scammers they try to sell u fake stuff for alots of money be carfuel !!!! plz dont go ans wate ur money
