I stayed at Labranda Mares in mid-May, for the second year in a row. I like this hotel for its homely atmosphere and the wonderful people who work there. As for the hotel itself, you can tell it’s been around for a while – the rooms, carpets, furniture, equipment, and common areas are all showing their age. Even if everything is relatively clean, you can still see the wear and tear. That’s why it doesn’t really feel like a five-star hotel. I think it definitely needs to be modernized and refreshed. One area that really needs the management’s attention is the main restaurant and the terraces where meals are served – they really need a thorough cleaning! Even though the staff works incredibly hard and cleans up after guests constantly, it doesn’t quite erase the impression of a neglected space. As for the food, I found it tasty, there was plenty of it, and there was a good variety to choose from. However, it was hard to watch how much food was wasted by hotel guests 🙈. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the people who work there. Their attitude is a big part of what makes us want to come back to a place or not. That’s why I’d like to say a big thank you and give special recognition to the amazing staff who made my stay this year unforgettable 😊: • Naci and Ziya from the main restaurant – thanks to their attentiveness and helpfulness, I always felt well taken care of 🤗 • Serhat from the main restaurant – thank you for the wonderful service during meals, truly top class 👌🏻 • Nazif, who always prepared the most delicious omelets with a smile and made my mornings better 🙂 • The lady from the Philippines who cleaned my room (3124) – thank you so much for the pleasant atmosphere in the room and your attention to detail • Special thanks to the lifeguard at the beach by the sea – Mahmut. Thanks to his constant presence, professionalism, and vigilance, I always felt safe while enjoying the sea. His calm and confident attitude makes guests feel secure in the water, knowing that they are in good hands. Employees like him are the best advertisement for this place 💪

Fantastic family holiday ☀️🌊🌄

After experiencing our amazing family holiday in Turkey two years ago we took the risk and booked Labranda Mares Marmaris for the second time. We do not regret it!!! This resort offers everything family could wish for. Starting from family garden bungalows away from hussle and bussle of the main entertainment area, through nice clean pools, some activities for adults such as darts, water polo, archery, activities for kids in terms of kids club and kids discos ever evening. Shout out to lovely Sherry who was the kids animator 👋 friendly and great with children! Gorgeous dining area with stunning views... morning 🌅 coffee looking out on the seafront and hills did it all for me! Fantastic salad 🥗 bar and desserts. Variety of foods, some repetative, however, everyone can find something for themselves l'd like to think. There's also 3 a la Carte restaurants which can be booked and enjoyed. For us food is not the priority but it is essential that it's tasty 😋 Evening entertainment was pretty good and varied, South African group was our favourite, you could feel the spirit on the dance floor 💃🕺 And here l have to give another shout-out to DJ Eros who was trying his best to entertain everyone and play all kinds of tunes to satisfy people's tastes. Thank you DJ Eros for an amazing after party 🎉 🥳 🌊 Whole animation team was really good with Furkan and Emre as leaders! They made a conscious effort to communicate and interact with quests or should l say they took pleasure in being around people. Open, friendly and a bit cheeky displaying good sense of humour 😆 There was some choice of drinks/cocktails at the Sultan Bar with generous barmans, two of them very professional and friendly 😊 I will not omit to mention a lovely lady by the beach making Gozleme! She made our 3 boys very happy by making them with chocolate filling. Nutella pancakes 🥞 in our boy's world. The location is truly stunning, mountains completement the sea, flickering evening lights of Marmaris in distance. Longish walk by the beach front to Icmeler or Marmaris,diving, boat trip, water park, quads, turtle beach or Turkish bath in the Labranda's Spa are all well worth experiencing!!!! Poor standards

We don’t normally write reviews however we need to inform anyone thinking of staying at Labranda Mares Hotel Marmaris. We arrived at 5am which is fine and normal for Marmaris. We checked in and were given room 3565. The nice bell boy kindly drove us to our room as it is in the furthest block away from the hotel and any of its facilities. As soon as we arrived we noticed a smell of sewage in the room to which the bell boy said speak to reception and as it was 5am we just put our children to bed and tried to get some sleep. The next morning we noticed the smell was still in our room and also the room appeard to be filthy dirty, I mean the floors were disgusting with what I can only describe as not been cleaned in months. We went straight to reception to ask for a different room as even the children felt sick in the room with the smell. The lady on reception made two phone calls after we argued the room was not acceptable only to be told there’s no other availability in the hotel. We were gutted. Stuck with a room which was full of a sewage smell. It even made our clothes smell. Good job they provided slippers as the floors were black with dirt however our kids feet were rancid from it!! The smell was there the whole week. The cleaner only came in once and even then didn’t actually do anything only replaced the towels. Floor still disgusting. VERY POOR STANDARDS for the price you pay. The rest of the hotel is of good standard. Food is ok, we’ve had better. Drinks were fine. The restaurant and lobby appeared to be a bit cleaner. Beware of the toilets at the pool, they weren’t cleaned once in the week we were there. FOWL low standards. Crammed in like sardines at the pool, lifeguards just sat on their phones. The entertainment team were around however we only heard them on the loud microphone but never actually saw them much. Kids club was good. Our children enjoyed it so thank you to the staff in the kids club. Overall I would rate the hotel 2 star as cleanliness is a basic need and the hotel was filthy. Just be aware that there are other reviews about room 3565 back to 2017 so the hotel are well aware of it. Therefore in our experience it’s not worth the price we paid.

Had an amazing time and Labranda Mares Marmaris, nice weather, comfortable rooms and nice food! The holiday was made extra special by the attentive entertainment team, in particular Emre, Eros and Fulcram. They were brilliant at engaging the guests into activities and bringing the wow factor to the holiday. This was my second time staying at your hotel in 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed every minute!
