Official Description

The resort is located on the west coast of the island of Koh Lanta Yai, about 120 minutes from Krabi airport, 150 minutes from Krabi town and 240 minutes from Phuket Town. Shopping opportunities can be found 3 km away in Saladan. Lanta Old Town, the temple, and the Handicraft Village can all be found in the area. This spa resort, which opened in 2006 and was renovated in 2007, occupies about 12 acres of landscaped grounds and sandy beach front, directly beside the Andaman Sea, in a lush valley of the P.P. National Park. There are 78 rooms in total spread over 3 floors. It offers a combination of traditional regional northern décor and design with modern amenities and facilities. It has a lobby, restaurant (open from 6 am until 10 pm) reception (open from 6 am until 11 pm), conference facilities and Internet access, as well as room and laundry services. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the playground. All rooms are clean and comfortable, and feature excellent facilities, including a tropical garden bathroom with outdoor bathtub, hairdryer, satellite television, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, double beds, individually-adjustable air conditioning, safety deposit box and direct dial telephone. Balconies and terraces also feature. Guests may take advantage of the two outdoor swimming pools (including children's pool), free of charge. A pool bar and sun parasols also feature. A sauna, solarium, massage and spa treatments are also offered. Guests are offered a succulent selection of the finest in tasty Thai and varied international cuisine at Rabeanglanta Restaurant. Flying time from Bangkok is about 80 minutes. Transfer from Krabi Airport to the resort is by bus and ferry and takes approx. 2 hours, while from Phuket Airport to the resort by bus and ferry the journey time is about 4 hours.

Gem of a hotel

Our 3rd visit to Lanta Sand, it really does feel like home from home, extremely helpful friendly staff, with nothing too much trouble, our room A003, with plunge pool, was spacious & spotlessly clean, at breakfast there’s a wide range of choices to cater for everyone, we also ate at the restaurant on occasion & enjoyed some great food, we also attended cabaret show twice with superb buffet seafood specialties, overall a gem of a place we can’t recommend highly enough, with special thanks to manager Deerake, for all his help & kindness We will be back

Wonderful stay

This was our 5th stay at Lanta Sands resort and we loved every minute of our 17 night stay. We stay in a Villa that was well maintained and cleaned everyday by the lovely staff. The rooms are very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was exceptional with everything you could need. There is an egg station and everything is covered. It's spotless and we really liked the little fridges for the yogurts and cheese ect. The hotel is in the best location on long beach in our opinion. The beach is very clean and there a lots of restaurants close by. We enjoyed our evening glass of wine sat at the bar talking to Will. He's such a lovely man and a asset to the hotel. All the staff are very friendly and work really hard. The General Manager Deerake was really helpful and gave us some great tips during our stay. The hotel has really improved since our last visit and we can't wait to return in the future. Thank you so much for a great holiday. Chris and Debbie B011
