This boutique hotel is located on the secluded island of Isla Holbox in front of the ocean. The hotel offers ocean views, spa, ironing, paddle boats, kayacs. The rooms at Las Nubes de Holbox feature air-conditioning and a balcony. Private bathrooms with showers are also included in each accommodations. Some accommodations offers ocean views. Great spot at the end of the road

We had a pleasant stay for several nights and felt the hotel was as advertised - nice rooms, at the end of the developed part of the island, and a quiet experience overall. There was maybe limited beachfront area to hang out on (some hotels just down the road seemed to have more), but we were right on the water, which was still nice. The white sandbar, aquamarine water, and sunsets made for great views. We liked being on the "end" of the island, plus being right where the sandbar starts (you could walk straight out from the hotel and be on it). It was a bit far to walk in the hot sun to town. Taxis were 150 pesos each way and were easy to get (the front desk will call one for you, too). There were bikes, but we didn't use them. The bed was comfortable. Our room (I think one of the suites) was huge. It was in pretty good condition, though there were a few things that seemed like obvious misses (a missing lightbulb in a lamp, for instance). Wifi was pretty good. I wouldn't count on video calls or streaming, but basic google searches or email were fine. The restaurant was ok. We had only one meal there outside of breakfasts and honestly found better food/more interesting menus elsewhere on the island. Staff were always friendly and helpful, though. Communications around some tours we inquired about were inconsistent though and varied a bit based on who we spoke with. I wish they had had more official information they could have distributed (laying out the different tour prices, schedules, activities, etc.) so we could have more easily chosen one. We didn't use the spa, and wished there was a gym to use but I'm not sure any hotel on the island offers that.

Feels like the end of the world

We came to las Nubes de Holbox from another Holbox hotel where construction noise next door was too loud to cope with. We arrived to find an authentic, peaceful, natural, friendly setting that felt like being “at the end the world.” But we were still close enough that a short bike ride or soothing beach stroll brought us downtown in minutes to enjoy the nightly sunset party and a great variety of food, drink, and live music. The staff couldn’t be more inviting. And the Nature is just spectacular. So happy we ended up here.

Most serene spot on Holbox

The hotel is at the farthest point of development on the eastern side of the island, so it is quieter than other locations and in a great position to walk the sand banks toward Mosquito Punta any time of day as well as enjoy quiet views of the water and the wildlife that comes up on the decks. My massage with Jesus at their spa was 5⭐️, and I get a lot of massages😉.
