Never cleaned, never a smile, lame location, spacious rooms, fresh breakfast

Let's start with the positive notes. It is ridiculously cheap, the breakfast is cooked and varied everyday, the room is spacious and there are complimentary toiletries. On the other side, however, I have to point out that the room was never cleaned during my stay (3 nights), all the plugs are of the british kind (thank God they gave me an adapter), no complimentary water, just a single glass bottle (probably of tap water) provided at the beginning, awful location, in the suburbs of mahebourg, (you have to walk at least 15 minutes to get to mahebourg, 1 hour to get to blue bay) and, most importantly (even more important than the room never been cleaned) is the unfriendlyness showed by every member of the staff. I mean, when I arrived no one smiled at me, the indian big lady had me do 2 flights of stairs carrying two bags, without even pretending to give me a hand (in the other b&b a very old lady helped me with the big suitcase), no smiles during the breakfast, nothing asked like "how was your stay?" when I left. Hospitality is not a job suited for everyone, I'm not saying that you actually have to care for every single one of your guests, but at least you have to pretend. If you can't even make the effort to pretend, then you're in the wrong line of business. And, since your b&b is definitely not the best one in the area, and the area itself is kinda lame, you should try to improve.

We stayed for 5 days and had occupied 2 double bedrooms and a family room. We were made to feel at home from the time we arrived by the host. She mentioned the rules of the house, do's & don'ts, timings etc. The breakfast was a good spread and had a different menu everyday. The pool although pretty small is good enough to relax. A short drive/walk will take you to the supermarket for anything else you may require. BTW, the family room is a 2 bedroom house having a refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen utensils so it came in handy.

Needed place to sleep close to airport before going to resort next day. Found this on trip advisor with good reviews. Very clean, efficient and friendly. 64 euros for family of 4 (2 bedrooms!). Acceptable breakfast. Fast free wifi. Great value for money. Paid 600 rupees for taxi from / to airport. Could probably pay less.

For my last night in Mauritius I needed to be near the airport and I chose this place given the qualifications I had. It is an every b & b, breakfast included, parking included, easy to find with maps.me, exact place on the GPS. You need a car in a must, no restaurants nearby. The room very correct, with everything you need except TV. Very recomendable. Price: 30 €. Very friendly family. English and french speeking. Free wifi.

We can absolutely recommend this place. Welcome was very friendly and the hosts were very helpful during our whole stay. Room was small but has enough space for two people with baggage. Everything is clean and all facilities and equipment is working well. The outside area is nice to sit down and relax and the small pool is great for a quick refreshment. Breakfast is simple but all you need for a good start into the day is available. We has dinner once which was great. All you need is in walking distance: Mahebourgh (20 minutes), Restaurants 15-20 minutes), Supermarket with ATM (5 minutes). Private parking available if you got a rental car. Airport is just 10 - 15 minutes driving away. Very, very good value for money.

Room with balcony/terrace for 2-3 persons, facilities - AC, fridge, ironing, kettle, clothes drying. Diner on request under covered veranda opened on swimming pool. Laundry on request. Free bicycle when available. Common TV and karaoke.
