When we arrived about 10 am , after an early morning rise to get the ferry to Mykonos. Upon arrival, to reception we were told very abruptly and rudely that our room wouldn’t be ready till 2pm , which we already knew about , the night before our transfer. When we arrived there was no one there to welcome us or to take our suitcases , so my wife and I had to drag our luggage around not knowing where to go. It was a very hot, and difficult to do this task , and so many steps to navigate, thankfully we found a cleaner who helped us with our luggage, and helped us take it to reception. Communication was very poor , no help at all . Come back at 2pm we were told, in a very abrupt manner. Also the so called short walk to town also involves a very steep climb up a hill , dodging traffic. When we arrived back about 1pm we so tired, and just wanted to shower and freshen up . There was no sign of people traffic at all , nobody, yet our room would not be ready till 2pm. After going to reception again , all of a sudden our room is ready at 1.30 pm . Walked into our room , no wifi , again down the stairs, as there’s no phones in the rooms . Reception came and made a call and wifi was restored , eventually. The evening went down to the dining area , which had magnificent views , we were told there was no need to book a table , but when we arrived for dinner later that evening there were many tables available we showed the staff the table we wanted , and were told we had to make a booking in advance??? We were also told there was a 45€ min spend, which again was not communicated to us at reception. Also that evening we constructively, made a complaint to Nicolas ( managing director) who heard of our morning experience, he listened contently . And said he would follow up. Second day we went out, came back and the swipe door lock malfunctioned and we had no way of entering our room for few hours. This was sorted out the next day , the technician did his best to fix this problem, continuing thanking us for our understanding and patience. This establishment has other suites accomodation called the “Poseidon “ which we found out after 2 days that we could use there pool facilities, as we staying at Legacy , which again was not communicated to us upon arrival. So while waiting for our room, we could have used there pool and bar area . On the third day we were given a transfer down to Poseidon for a swim , we exchanged WhatsApp numbers, with the driver and to text him when we ready to come back , and he would pick up us up , give me 10 minutes to get ready and I’ll come he said . When we texted him to tell him it was time to pick us up , 30 minutes passed still no transfer , so we decided to walk back in the heat up this steep incline. I walked into reception, where he was sitting, with feet on the table, and I said to him thanks for the lift back mate and walked away , We thought we would get a follow up from Nicolas in regards to the rest of our stay , but unfortunately nothing . This place has magnificent views , a lot of stairs and when walking from town a very steep incline to navigate to get back . Would not recommend the Legacy . Front of house needs retraining in being courteous, saying welcome and smile . And also giving better communication on what to do when arriving before check in. This is the first place I’ve ever wanted to leave before I even checked in . Mykonos is a beautiful place .
