Amazing Family Holiday – We Are Still Here and Already Recommending It!

We arrived at the hotel at 2:30 in the morning. After checking in and taking our luggage to the room, we were already feeling a little hungry. To our surprise, the hotel provides food and drinks 24 hours a day, which was incredibly thoughtful and a wonderful welcome after a long journey. Today is our sixth day at the hotel, and honestly, almost everything has been excellent so far. From morning until night, there is always something happening. The hotel offers an incredible variety of activities and entertainment, including sports and fitness activities, shooting, competitions, amusement rides, the water park, disco nights and a wide range of fantastic shows. There is truly something for everyone, and it is almost impossible to get bored! Most of the hotel staff are extremely polite, friendly and full of energy, which has made our holiday even more enjoyable. Everywhere around the resort, you can really feel the wonderful holiday atmosphere. We would especially like to praise two members of the Entertainment Team, Zek and Valeria. They put so much effort into every activity, always know how to create a great atmosphere, and are genuinely happy to help guests. They make you feel valued and welcome, and their energy has definitely made our holiday more memorable. A special mention must also go to Chef Kasim. His Italian dishes are absolutely delicious and have left us wanting more! What makes the experience even more special is the way he interacts with the guests and brings fun and surprises into the cooking experience. It is not just a meal – it is part of the entertainment! Although our holiday has not finished yet, our friends have already seen our photos and videos on Facebook and started asking us about this hotel! Long Beach Resort Alanya is definitely one of our top choices for a family holiday. We are still here enjoying our stay, and we are already happy to recommend it to others!** Thank you to everyone who has made our holiday so enjoyable!** 🌴☀️🏖️

Hotel was so bad!

It’s a very big hotel. You get very tired from one end to go to other end. The food was very very bad quality, the room wasn’t that clean. The restaurant was a chaos, so over crowded . We had to wait so long to get a table ! The service is very, very bad ! Waitress don’t even hear you as they are very tired, short of staff . The lift wasn’t working properly . We had a buggy we had to carry our buggy to the third floor ! You have to wait so long for the lift as it’s so many people in the hotel ! The entertainment in the evening was so rubbish. Everything about this hotel made me feel like going back home. I couldn’t wait to go back home. It was waste off my money and time. I will never come back to this hotel.

We love our staying here, the children was obsessed with this hotel, aqua park, snack bars, entertainment absolutely amazing. Live music, shows, daily activities (darts, water polo, aqua gym) we love it all. Big thanks for animation team this guys made our staying absolutely incredible, feeling included everywhere and always friendly and positive!

Plenty to do for kids but lacking in other areas

Overall we had a mixed experience at the hotel. There are some definite positives, particularly for families with children, but there were also several issues that affected our enjoyment of the holiday. Unfortunately, the problems around food, gluten-free options, smoking, noise and communication made the week more difficult than we expected. Positives - The Wi-Fi signal was excellent and reached across the whole site, which was a real bonus. - There are lots of pools, slides and activities for children, so kids are unlikely to get bored. - The hotel and surrounding areas were generally clean and well maintained. - When we reported an issue with the air conditioning, reception did get it fixed. - When we complained about issues we were having we were offered a complementary one à la carte restaurant visit. Negatives Food and drinks - The food wasn’t particularly well catered towards British tastes, with a lot of European-style options. Some of the food was also only lukewarm. For us, the biggest issue was the lack of clear and reliable gluten-free options. We had to specifically ask for gluten-free food, and on one occasion it took around half an hour for the food to come out of the kitchen. By that point, the rest of our family had finished eating. Even when the food arrived, we had to question staff about whether it was actually gluten-free. Not all food was clearly labelled for allergens and intolerances, which made choosing food very difficult. As a result, I ended up relying heavily on rice, salad and meat throughout the week. We were also told there was a gluten-free buffet, but despite looking for it, we never managed to find it where we were told it would be. Breakfast was particularly limited for gluten-free choices. I could only really eat eggs and would have liked an omelette, but it was cooked in so much oil that it was swimming in grease and unfortunately I couldn’t eat it. There was also no proper English tea available, which was disappointing for a British holidaymaker. The water from the fridges around the hotel wasn’t always cold, and the quality of the cocktails was inconsistent. Some days they were really good, while on other days they were poor. The restaurant in the main building was carnage on a night and people were horrendous for pushing in and that wasn’t just in the restaurant it was at the bars and reception too. We went to the harmony restaurant that was a-bit quieter. Smoking - One of the biggest negatives for us was the amount of smoking around the hotel. It felt as though almost everywhere was a smoking area, including areas where people were eating and around the pools. This was particularly unpleasant for non-smokers and is something the hotel could improve significantly by providing clearly designated smoking areas away from other guests. Staff and communication - Some members of staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the service was inconsistent. On several occasions, staff appeared unhappy or put out when we asked for something, which didn’t make us feel particularly welcome. There was also a noticeable language barrier with some staff, making communication difficult at times. Reception was often extremely busy, meaning there could be a long wait whenever we needed to ask something. We asked the day before we left how much it would cost to have a longer checkout and were told to come back to reception on the day of departure which we found strange because why couldn’t they tell us how much then? We went back reception the next day on our departure day and were told that our room was occupied after us so we couldn’t keep the room after 12pm which was disappointing as we weren’t getting picked up until 4.30pm. We felt that if they had known we wanted to do that prior they could have perhaps moved rooms around to accommodate it but we were offered no options just a hard no and that was the feeling throughout the holiday that they just didn’t care and wouldn’t go over and above for guests. We also felt that tipping was expected for many things, which became frustrating when the service wasn’t always consistent. Only being allowed to book one à la carte restaurant for free was also disappointing. Pool area and entertainment - We were repeatedly approached around the pool by people offering massages and photography. Even after saying no, they would come back again, which became irritating. Sunbeds were also being reserved before 10am despite guests being told that this wasn’t allowed. This was frustrating to see and felt as though the rule wasn’t being properly enforced. The pools and slides don’t open until 10am, which is useful to know when planning your day. Room and sleep - The air conditioning initially wasn’t working properly and wouldn’t go below 18°C, although, to be fair, this was fixed after we reported it. The curtains were another issue. They didn’t properly cover the window, so light came into the room very early in the morning. There were also only basic bedding supplies, with one pillow and one thin sheet per person. We felt there should have been additional pillows and proper bedding available without having to request them from reception. Unfortunately, sleep was a major problem throughout our stay. We were woken at around 5am by prayers from places of worship nearby, and the hotel itself could also be very noisy late into the night. There didn’t seem to be much consideration for guests who were trying to sleep. By the end of the week, we were genuinely sleep deprived. Overall, this hotel has a lot going for it, especially if you’re travelling with children. The pools, slides, activities, cleanliness and Wi-Fi are all positives. It’s approximately 1hr 40mins away from the airport in a private taxi which I’d recommend getting because it might be longer on a bus. However, for us, the issues with gluten-free food and food in general, inconsistent service, smoking, communication and especially the lack of sleep significantly affected our holiday. Some of these problems could be relatively easily addressed, particularly clearer allergen labelling, better gluten-free catering, enforcement of the sunbed rules, designated smoking areas and better consideration for guests trying to sleep. We wouldn’t say the hotel was terrible, but based on our experience, we wont be returning.
