Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head

The Lotus Honolulu is located at the foot of Diamond Head, across the street from Kapiolani Park. Close to Waikiki, but away from the traffic and noise. We've stayed there 3 times and will stay again soon. The bar and restaurant Arden is wonderful. Inventive dishes and cocktails in a casual setting. Rooms are roomy though could be updated. We like the side with the view of Diamond Head.

Lotus is an AMAZING, quiet, beautiful hotel and location, steps away from Kaimana Beach (great snorkeling, access mats present but covered with sand, no beach wheelchair, paved path parallels beach). We wanted to be a little removed from the Waikiki strip, so we could bird in the park and snorkel at the beach. Great food options around, and there's a convenience shop next door. They have one room with a roll in shower (which is the one we booked; fabulous view of ocean and Diamondhead) and two other ADA rooms with tubs. Both entries to the hotel are no step, there's one elevator up to all rooms, and there was a wooden block under our bed that might make a lift hard to use. The room entrance and bathroom doors were plenty wide with a pocket door on the bathroom. Plenty of room around the toilet and between the beds and other furniture (desk/tv/fridge area). The lani doors are sliding, so easy to use and good at keeping light out. We never heard our neighbors, so sound proofing must be good! Hotel staff are amazing, and I called to make my reservation, specifically for the roll in shower. They even emailed me photos of the shower to make sure it would work for us. Once we arrived, all staff were super helpful our entire stay. We can't wait to stay here again!!!!

Lovely hotel at the quiet end of Waikiki, just a few minutes walk from the beach, Waikiki Aquarium and downtown! It's right across from a lovely park and has fantastic views of Diamond Head Crater. Rooms are bright and clean with private lanai, soft luxurious bedding & robes; stays include many amenities, such as unlimited use of beach chairs & beach bikes, complimentary laundry.

Lotus is fantastically located near enough to Waikiki to walk there, but far enough away that it's away from the hustle and bustle of the area. Super easy access to a gorgeous but small beach. Laundry facilities on 3rd floor, you can get soap from the front desk for very cheap, makes packing lighter even easier! Definitely check out Arden, especially if you're staying in Lotus as you get a free single glass of wine between 5pm and 6pm 🙂

Bed frame needs maintenance. Every time we rolled over the frame squeaked loudly resulting in very little sleep. The Arden restaurant was a deal if you go at happy hour.
