As a family of four from Dallas, Texas, traveling with an 8-year-old and a 19-year-old, this was not just a holiday—it was a memory-making experience filled with thoughtful hospitality, impeccable service, and tropical elegance. Our Villa: A Secluded Sanctuary of Comfort We stayed in LUX Pool Villa 2005*, a spacious haven with no neighbors around. The villa was immaculate—boasting two generous master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large living and dining space, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a separate larder. The thoughtful upgrades since our last visit—such as high-speed WiFi (perfect for work calls) and modern electric toilet bidets—elevated our stay further. Everything worked seamlessly, including automatic device sign-in for WiFi using the same credentials from our previous trip . Butler Service: Beyond Exceptional The highlight of our stay was our butler, Nadine, who epitomized Mauritian warmth and hospitality. She anticipated every need—from packing us day bags for catamaran excursions to making sure our fridge was stocked with our favorite drinks (our son was especially thrilled with his Coke-filled fridge). She took care of everything: • Tidied up after every meal • Coordinated dining reservations and taxi transfers • Assisted with laundry and drying our swimsuits • Even brought crepes with Nutella for the kids at breakfast Nadine also served our guests with tea and coffee, handled valet parking, and always greeted us with a smile that felt genuinely welcoming. Her presence alone added a touch of grace and ease to our entire stay. Dining: Creative, Vibrant, Delicious Dining at LUX* Grand Baie is an adventure. Under the direction of Mr. Kullen, and with heartfelt service from Mr. Arvind, Ms. Pooja, and Mr. Romain, every meal felt special. The Beach Rouge restaurant is both chic and inviting, transforming into a bohemian-style experience by night with its vibrant red lighting and live DJ performances . • The buffet breakfasts were lavish, offering both local Mauritian flavors and international staples. • While vegan options were limited on the menu, the chef always went the extra mile to prepare custom dishes for us. • The food was consistently well-presented and flavorful—clearly curated by an expert culinary team. Beaches & Boathouse: A Dream Seaside Escape The beach is pristine—white sand and turquoise waters straight out of a postcard. The freshwater showers, service call buttons, and vigilant staff like Mr. Yehen, Mr. Pratik, and Mr. Vijash ensured we were never far from refreshments (we highly recommend the Frosee and local Phoenix beer). The beach was quiet, safe, and free from peddlers. At the boathouse, our 19-year-old son picked up waterskiing within minutes, thanks to expert instructors. It became a daily highlight of his trip. Spa, Fitness & Kids Club: Something for Everyone The LUX Me Spa* was serene and luxurious. My son and I enjoyed a couples massage, his first-ever spa experience—and one to remember! The fitness center, with its high-end Technogym equipment and rooftop training area (Muscle Up on the Roof), helped him maintain his workout routine . Our 8-year-old loved the PLAY kids club, returning daily with new crafts and stories. It’s an excellent setup with age-appropriate activities like yoga, art, gardening, and even science experiments . The Essence of Island Luxury From meticulously maintained landscaping with gardeners always at work, to attentive service for my dad in a Junior Suite, everything about LUX* Grand Baie is executed with care, luxury, and attention to detail. Their sustainability efforts, like no single-use plastics and eco-conscious cuisine, are an added bonus . Final Thoughts LUX* Grand Baie is more than a resort—it’s a meticulously designed, heartfelt experience. Whether you’re reconnecting with family, seeking solitude, or indulging in gourmet pleasures, it delivers. This resort is one of the amazing family resorts There facilities are amazing They have kids club where you can leave your children enjoying with lovely kind ladies If they are 3 years and above you don’t need to stay with them. Of curse we will never forget our butler Kishan who makes our stay unforgettable he is so kind and thoughtful. We calibrate two occasions there and he arrange it beautifully. Truly he accomplished all what we need in and even out of the resort.
