LUX Grand Gaube Resort & Villas

We had the most amazing wedding ever at LUX* Grand Gaube! The wedding planner of ours is fantastic, positive person. She write the most touching speech of all time! Our wedding cake was made by a master I believe! It was so delicious. I loved the musics that the guitarist played. The whole island is like the song "over the rainbow". We have never experienced similar feeling like our honeymoon. It was like a fairy tale! I wish all to make your dreams come true!

A wonderful two week stay at Lux Grand Gaube, with beautiful well kept grounds (shout out to the gardeners who are there first thing in the morning working hard), delicious restaurants and ever so friendly staff throughout the resort. Food in all restaurants is of high quality, particularly Bodrum Blue and Inti. A special mention to a few of the staff who we got to know during our stay and who work incredibly hard: Nirvan, Dheyan, Krishi and Kervish. Also to the pool guy round the main pool (can’t remember his name) who would always stop for a friendly chat in between bringing us drinks and towels etc. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the beautiful island of Mauritius.

We had the most amazing stay in the villa of the Lux Grand Gaube. The villa is stunning, both inside and out. And having your own private beach and pool is amazing, never any need to worry about finding a spot with suitable sun/shade. We didn't think we would make much use of the butler service, but Akshay was so helpful and friendly, without ever being intrusive, that we found ourselves asking him for little things every day. He really made our stay special and we are now wondering how we will ever holiday in a "normal" room again! The hotel is beautiful, and although not as big as some others, it has many activities and they were never too crowded. We were able to waterski, play tennis, go out on stand-up paddles without much waiting. We tried all the restaurants and the food was delicious in all of them, but the setting of the Banyan Tree is particularly magical. All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday! The only small complaints that management might want to look into improving: 1) I was not warned while swimming in the adult pool around 6pm that they were about to spray insecticide in the area. The air was suddenly filled with insecticide and I had to quickly leave the area, dripping wet and coughing. I remember someone coming up to talk to another couple who then left soon after, so it looks like they were warned but I wasn't. Staff should ensure they warn everyone. 2) The private beach for the villa is easily accessible from the main beach at low tide, so sometimes other guests wander up. Most are respectful, but we had some noisy children that refused to leave and came back several times. Policing other people's children is not relaxing on holiday, so having a sign up somewhere explaining the beach is private would be useful (the children basically kept arguing they were allowed to be there).

Thoroughly enjoyed our 12 night stay here. We had a lovely room with stunning views of the sea and an outdoor bath from where we could enjoy the spectacular sunsets! There is a great selection of restaurants including the main buffet while we made great use of the gym, padel court, spa and water sports. The staff were excellent on the whole (a couple of small issues which were efficiently dealt with) and we have to give a special mention to Jason, Akshal, Veemal and Donsay for their friendliness during our stay. All in all, a wonderful place to spend your time in Mauritius.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary which was made so special by the Hotel. First class food, choice, service, accommodation and facilities. The staff were so helpful, polite and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thanks to Reedo for making our beach days so relaxing. We will be back again soon, Colin and Nicky
